Just had an exotic bounty pop up today. Which I didnt even know existed in the game. Some explanation on these things or even in game hints would be good bungie?

Some are pretty easy to do, some are quite hard.

Year I looked it up and turned out I picked the machine gun one which is what I wanted anyway, but I could of easily of picked the shotgun one which I never use.

edit. Just received a new ship randomly from a chest on Mars, laughing behind your back, very cool looking.

Edit 2. Also, how the flipping heck do you level up the crucible experience to buy weapons. It never levels up whether I play pvp or any other mode. If I remove my new monarchy aliegence it still doesn't level up, very confused.

Edit 3. Crucible rank started working again, though I lost a whole rank for no reason.

Do non purchasers of the dlc get access to the new weapons and armor? Not the stuff from raids and strikes in the dlc obviously.

Non-purchasers will definitely be able to buy all the new Vanguard weapons and armour (that takes you to light lvl30) that replaces all the existing Vanguard weapons and armour. Not sure about all the new exotics. I suspect they will be locked to the DLC.

Saw that last night on the bungie forum while trying to sort my crucible levelling problem. Very funny. No doubt that will get patched sharpish.

Also finally got round to getting a new controller. At least now my character won't be jumping, switching weapons, mele ing and activating powers when it shouldn't do :/

I need to buy a DuelShock 3 to replace my aging SixAxis. The deadzones on the analogue sticks are completely gone and it's just a generally abysmal controller. Ever since I first bought it, sometimes it will stick in a direction for a few seconds, regardless of where I move the stick. So if you ever see me walking into an enemy or over a cliff for no apparent reason, you'll know why!

Had the same thing in the last bit of the raid, i kept jumping off the small platforms or generally walking out the titan shield randomly and either getting killed or walk off the platform into oblivion. Its worse in pvp, ill be using my assault rifle at a distance, then itle suddenly switch to sniper, then melle, then dead, people got so many cheap kills on me last night it wasn't funny. Also got powerline ethernet adapters to keep a decent signal, no more wifi.

Edit...It appears this datto cat is just some streamer or some such, so my original post, as below, is likely all based on some random speculation only. Gah

Seems that Bungie (someone called datto ???) have confirmed on twitter that all upgraded and new exotics will start with a base damage of 300. So that's not so bad, aside from losing the perks on existing ones.

I'm about 90% certain Datto is a paid streamer who works for either Bungie or Activision he has access to far to much stuff way early than everyone else, plus he runs the public event website. In order to figure out when the events our you need access to the destiny server code, so either Bungie are providing the code or he has hacked the whole server which I doubt very much.

There's a photo doing the rounds that after upgrading an exotic there base stat will be 302, remains to be seen if it's true.
