I'm assuming there was an issue with the original file. Mine did the same thing but without needing to redownload the game.

Yea, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a bug or the master files haven't been updated correctly and therefore some users consoles simply re-downloads the entire game. Certainly a minor annoyance and something they do need to iron out. It doesn't matter as much if a your film or smaller games have to be re-downloaded but incredibly annoying when it's full retail releases like this.

        That title screen music!

The choral chanting still gives me goosebumps like it did when I first heard it!

It's incredible how easy it is to get lost in this. By lost I mean lose track of time and play for hours when you only meant to do a single level.

I'm playing through chronologically. I've done Halo many times so it shouldn't take to long to do but I've only played through 2, 3 and 4 once each so I'm looking forward to going through those again. I remember being a little unimpressed with 2 due to the story not making a lot of sense and some sloppy tech issues. I fired it up briefly on this just to see and it looks rather nice. The new CG cutscenes are stunning and you can see what they're doing by

adding little things to pave the way for 5.

It's another game where I'll only really play the SP mode but I'm off this weekend so I may dabble with MP a little.

            Overall it's a great collection.

I especially like the way that you can change the control scheme in one game and apply it to all the others. Very handy.

Pretty much the same feeling from me as everyone above, what a collection. Value for money is superb.

One thing i didn't notice is it possible to matchmake the story missions? Going to play though it all on Legendary myself 1st but then after that will want to get the Co-oP badges for Legendary also.

I wanted to give multilayer a go first so a bit disappointed that's stuffed right now. I took a look around the forge though and holy christ the options are now amazing.

Top collection I must say and one of the best vaule for money and retro bit of love in I've seen since the likes of Sonic Jam. The likes of Halo 3 and IV looks stunning in 1080p and its does take a bit of getting use to playing Halo's at 60 fps . Have to say the only bad part is this collection just reminds me how poor and vastly overated Halo II was

                    Was Halo 2 ever overrated?

Beyond the multiplayer I thought it was universally panned for being a disappointment, particularly the naff ending, which isn't and issue now as the following game is included.

Gonna try again in a minute but despite the update from MS today I still can't get any online mp out of the game

I know it's broken right now and that's frustrating but honestly I had a blast on his last night. This is a 10... The minute they resolve the multiplayer issues it might be all I need to play for the next few months.

Yeah, I go nowhere trying to get a game but I'm having more fun with the rest of the collection than I've had with the series previously. Just seems to be clicking more this time. I definitely still maintain that the series has been massively overrated over the first two games even for its time but there's definitely still a lot to get out of them.

Had to cancel my AC and Far Cry pre-orders due to this and Cod. This is going to last a long long time and might as well pick the other games up at a later point cheaper!

Since everyone seems to be jumping on the Sonic Boom glitches I thought I would leave this here
