Like the boost switch myself. Makes it challenging to get right. It feels more F-Zero to me. No AG up or down, turns on steering and slides on trigger.

Are the boost pads positioned on the racing line? One of the things I dislike about Wipeout HD is having to memorise the position of the pads.

No. They're a bit wavy at times as well as being alternative colours, meaning you have to manually switch to the next pads colour.

Finding an issue with the placing counter. I finished second but it gave me first. Then finished 7th but it gave me 8th.

Amazing game, I'm so,glad I held on to my Wii U, it still some of best games in recent years, Splatoon and Mario kart being 2 off the bat.

this is just so good , for the price , so much value.

I'm glad it's had a positive response in this thread. I'm a big fan of the futuristic racing genre, so I'll be downloading this on Sunday.

Spent some time with the game, and I share everyone's feelings. It's good, so good that it should have been a proper physical release, and maybe with Nintendo's technical input Shin'en would have been able to push 60fps with FSAA...but I would take 60fps over FSAA every time. I wish there was an option screen to set BMG and SFX levels, and the chance to remap the buttons, I want the boost on Y rather than on R, maybe acceleration/braking on the shoulders and leave face buttons for leaning, phase and boost.

Has anyone tried online multiplayer? I did only a few races, the code seems good , the problem is that many people seem to leave during or between races. In one weird instance all cars except mine loaded rotated 90? counterclockwise and I was racing alone, in 1st, until the final results placed me 4th.

                        I've also made a video!

One a scale with F-Zero on one end and Wipeout on the other, where does this land?

In the middle, a bit toward F-Zero I'd say.

It's 70% F-Zero. No proper AG (design choice), triggers strafe and aren't air brakes. Boost mechanic. Overall track style like GX.
