I'm glad I decided not to replay the prior game before this one. I'm now about 15hrs in and... it's feeling bloated? There's a lot I like about it but to be honest I just don't think the gameplay quite supports the sheer volume of scripted long walk sequences, overlong stretches and the endless, endless talking. For the next game I already want them to take almost a step back, something shorter that relies on the combat more than the scripted sequences... and Atreus... jesus, the focus is too much on him.

Aaaaaaaand done after 35hrs. Well it’s another fantastic game by Santa Monica and a worthy successor and bookend to the norse story, if indeed it actually is. I have a feeling were going to get a story expansion down the road at some point, maybe.
I didn’t do everything this time, only did 1 beserker, so will likely go back at some point and tidy those up.Comment
