Great impressions there Mr Earl. Good to see you?re enjoying it so much. I too was delighted to see a passel waiting for me when I got home yesterday ? I love the box art
The chances of me ever playing this with another person(s) is doubtful, so am grateful there is a solid, fun and highly appealing single player experience here. It is absolutely wonderful. This is the first experience of using the GBA/GC link connectivity, ive never really been interested in it before, but using the GBA creates a whole new experience for me. I tried using the controller, but it really is the GBA all the way.
The comments you made about the sound effects and music are spot on. Especially the echoing sounds from the tv. Also how it feels like the one and same game using the two devices ? as an example, out of pure interest I throw the boomerang through a door while in the GBA view? amazingly the boomerang was then shown on the tv for a moment before returning back through the door and to the GBA screen. That?s just freaking amazing?
The graphics are surprisingly charming. The Wind Waker effects are a delight to see and blend pretty well with the 2D environments and sprites. Nice to hear the familiar Link cries and even the individual character mumbles from different folk u meet. Great stuff. Oh?. And the water affects are just gorgeous ? and the waterfall? my goodness. Beautiful.
Cant play anymore now until late this eve, but am really looking forward to spending some quality time with it. In fact, just thinking about it is making me smile. A must. No doubt about it. I just hope it doesn?t get overlooked as simply a small update of Four Swords ? with little to offer the solo player. It has so much to offer. As the interview states, it really should have been called ?Four Swords +++?
