Can I add for a negative point to the game, and a slack oversight that the players shorts get dirty, but ALL of them with equal amounts? and the subs, to they also roll in mud to fit in.... very very slack.

I like to plonk Vassell on the right wing in place of Beckham late on in matches as he seems to run circles round most defences.

yeah your right that is slack . Also the sheen given to players when playing under floodlights isnt at all good. Looks like theyve been varnished.
Quite a sad point to make but anyone notice the huge improvement in the goal net physics. It actually behaves like a real net bulging outwards then back inwards with the whole net being affected.

I've actually noticed a distinct lack of slow down when compared to using the dvd and hard drive. Definitely an improvement with the hard drive from what i've seen. Only getting very slight slow down when playing as Milan now

For those who want the English Player names on this get these:

Burn them onto a CDR and then:

Load up on PS2. (takes 20-30 secs)
Get to DOS looking screen and let it load up fully.
Press R1 to access a menu screen.
Move down to cdfs option.
Press X
Choose the file which contains the letters "we8opt"
Press triangle.

Let it fully extract to your memory card.

Load up WE8.

It's not perfect but better than what your start off with.


Note: This will delete any previous WE8 save you had on the Mem Card..''

The more i think about it, the more i think it makes a big difference to the slow down depending on wether you are using licensed club teams or standard internationals, cos the first time i did and international cup i was really surprised by the lack of slowdown.

That sheen given to the players is just so gay! It looks like they are all balding severly

Yes it works fine, translates all teams and player names to english and has all the current transfers. (although the links you used don't seem to work)

I would'nt go that far, theres certainly visual improvements over WE7 imo. I have to agree with the stupid sheen all the players have though. They all look like Zidane.

Another minor ****ty thing about WE8 - the ref has no noteworthy in-game animations. For example, you'd think when the final whistle is blown there would be a basic animation for the ref blowing a whistle. Oh No! Instead he's just another player model that doesnt do anything, and is pretty pointless.

Yeah at the final whistle the ref seems more surprised than anyone else. Thing is with the ref it could open up a whole new level if konami wanted too. A deliberate foul button could be implemented and you could use whenever you thought the ref was out of position or unsighted. Same for deliberate handballs, if you think the ref cant see you then have a go.
Ive just noticed that tackling with the players wrong foot isnt adviseable. Its the first time ive noticed this. defenders seem a bit more clumsy when going in on their wrong foot. Ive just got campbell and toure sent off in one match .

I have just realised that a floppy disc holds 1.44meg not 2.44meg so Iv'e got no way of getting those files I downloaded home. ft:
