Anyone still playing 'proper' master league. By proper i mean non of that namby pamby extra transfer points or real life players in your original starting team .
Its tough, extremely tough plus transfers are nearly impossible even with the likes of dion dublin. You have to go for the players on the list of those that will more than likely join for you and they aint special. In the transfer window i picked up
GK/ Lee Woon Jae
DMF/ Kaji
OMF/ Nakamura
CF/ Kubo
havent a clue who any of those are.
Im guessing the extra toughness is to make div 2 a bit more than an annoyance and somewhere to build a team. Im currently mid table only 3 points off the promotion spaces. Tbh im hoping i miss out this season, id be straight back down the next if i did go up.

Nakamura is a good player, in the Japanese national side. Not sure if his WE stats are reflective of his real life quality though.

I'm yet to touch master leaugue. Going for all the cups first.

He does have rather an unusual free kick style. Just a few steps and at a really sharp angle.
Kubo got 2 goals in his first match so is a legend now

Just finished the season. Finished 4th so its another year in D2 but it was my first 6* season so im chuffed i stayed afloat. Kubo got 6 goals in 7 games so that guaranteed a good finish, he along with dulic got an mvp so i got 1000 extra points at the end of the season..
Just strengthening now for the coming season, dont think i could stand another in the lower league.

edit/ oops strengthened a bit too much. Luckily id saved at the end of the season so i started back before my transfer spree. On the top right of the master league page theirs two sets of numbers. The top is how much money you have and underneath it is the total sum of the wage bonuses for you players. You need to have enough points to pay for that come close season or its game over. Second time round in off season i offloaded loads on free tranasfers and was able to bring one striker in. Better than nowt.

I need a master league translation to get back on track with this game. Ive got bored of just playing cups now - its always been about the master league in one player for me and im desperate to start one on this.

My new favourite toy of the week is now double-tap crosses. Use them exactly the same as triple-taps and they seem to fall at the perfect height for some larsson-eque diving headers I've also got loads of own goals off this bad boy on top. Still trying to suss out the R3 down-up though. Going back to PES3 for a match, it's almost like I can't understand how i got on without the R2 moves now ^^

Master league is perfectly playable unpatched. As long as youve got the option file for the players names youl be fine. An hour or so of trial and error (or read of my trial and error at least ) and youl have it sussed. Transfers are really simple since the transfer options are still in the same order as they were before in we7i. Ive been releasing and part exing players like a madman in order to cut my wage bill and bring nellise in. Have a poke about and even the newer stuff becomes obvious to an extent. Just have a few experimental goes, tinker with stuff etc.
The patch for the ML will be immeasurably helpful no doubt but doing it perfectly without the patch can be done with a bit of effort though id make sure youd have at least got the option file for players names.
Now im sorted with it the new ML i can say its simply quite superb and knocks the socks off previous versions. Does go some way to making up for the slowdown.

Yeah kind of.

Its in there as a shot - if you have a pop with Recoba or Vieri with their right foot from an actue angle, they will sometimes bring their foot round the back and do the scissor type shot (i think its called the Rabona or some **** like that). Not sure if C. Ronaldo does it though.

I'm trying to complete the summer transfers at the moment, but there doesn't appear to be a way to get rid of players who have either retired or gone to a club not featured in the game.

I was shoving them all into the WE and PES teams but the rosters are now full with around 30 odd transfers still to do.

Does anyone know if there is a way of deleting players or putting them into an unused 'pot' as there has been before?

There's absolutely no way as far as i know. Only solution would be to edit the players you dont want into someone else, but i seriously would not be arsed with that

Yeah i thought i heard rumours of a section where u cud shove players but i think this is untrue unfortunatly. Konami if yr listening a place called Free on the player transfer page would be most welcome in the nxt edtion to shove the Desailly's and people who have no club in the game. Instead of them clogging up teams. A minor gripe is this though, can't knock this game beside d slow down which does not bother me much, so no complaints frm me on WE8


I agree with revisedgenoside ML is brilliant i tried signing Ronaldinho and C.Ronaldo when i ws in D2 wiv Chelsea but i just got sum Red Kanji which i do not know, i presume it means they told me to politely go away. I'll wait til i get promoted til i go for more players. Anyone done any major signings?

Theres an annoying flaw with the master league. To get in enough decent players you have to strip your club to the bare bones of 16 players to keep the wage bill down and to get more players in. Trouble is at the end of the season some players may retire. that would be ok if the game let you bring in new players but it doesnt. so you have this huge end of season transfer window but its game over before your allowed to use it.
