you need to register if you havent done so already. Thats the official evo-web option file (1.5) . think theres another floating around but its not as good apparently.

One question though, why is it that some players' names differ depending on whether they are used in a club team or national team?

Eg. Van Nistelroy(Man U.) = Van Nisterom (Holland)

Yeah, I noticed this on WE7i too. Edgar Davids (Holland) looks like a ****ing freak with blond hair and everything! The "club" version looks normal though.

EDIT - Apparently, 1.5 will be the last Option File for a few months guys, so it's this one that's considered the best atm.

Now my names are in english ive dived headfirst into 6 star master league. It appears to be alot deeper than previous master leagues aswell. Very much so in fact. Alas my lack of japanese reading ability means the newer aspects are lost on me. Its perfectly playable, il just be missing out on the slight nuances here and there.
Master league seems to be employing the system whereby the better your domestic teams performances in europe, the more wefa cup spots your league gets. Looks classy tbh.

What you need matey is Fernando's patch.

Had a look at ML last-night, he's translated about 70% of it so far and it looks like I'll be sinking a ludicrous amount of time into it.

When you create a new game, you are given the option of what type of ML you wish to progress with; so you can either go through it with the default data (Castello, Baroja etc.) or you can go through it with a League side, so I'm guessing if you picked Real Madrid, you'd start out with the Madrid squad or something? I didn't get a chance to delve right into it, but you can also set your initial budget as well, from 3000 up to 150000 I think it was.

Basically, it looks a lot more in depth...

Yeah theres 3 options, first is Normal (as per previous PES/WE), the second lets you start with a full squad ie. I'm M City and have Anelka, SWP, Barton etc. This is the one I picked and it also let me edit what teams I wanted so I made A Premiership, B La Liga and C Serie A. For D I mixed Dutch, French, Portugese etc. For Div 2 I had the rest of the Premiership tems, 'Gers and Celtic and 2 belgian clubs. Getting WBA, Palace and Norwich in will make this even better.

Once I started I realised how much more of a bastard ML is to the normal game. I'd been fairly secure in friendlies on 5* but after 10mins of my first game I was behind to a Dado Prso header and getting battered. Wright-Phillips came up with a diving header late on to get me off the mark
with a point.

After the game certain players gained stats, experience. SWP got 23% increase for something. As well as Top Goal Scorer and Assists there's also a Player of the Season now. With the Form stats being averaged into a table.

I can see ML taking up FAR to much of my time...

You can choose to start with 5000-50000, I picked 8000.

Theres also a third option but I haven't checked that yet.

6 stars and normal ML mode and just 5000 starting points for me . I could not play ML without the legend that is Vornander. I noticed that Konami have made Kelsen alot worser and Ivarov alot better. Barota also seems alot better and Castollo looks a dude . Ive always loved the hell that is the first few seasons on master league so its why i opted for the traditional squad.
Unfortunately i dont have a chipped ps2 so im using translations mainly. However the brilliant 1.5 evo-web option file tells me nearly everything i need to know.
