the newer Neogeo roms won't work on Mame-X - not enough memory in the Xbox i think .... though they said the same thing about all the cps2 roms and yet final burn runs them perfectly

Mame is ok for some things - latest build is pretty good and has improved resolution etc -- Final Burn X is **** hot and is completely configurable from inside it ie stretching the screen etc

My god so much quality it hurts me. I still use my Saturn a lot more than my PS or PS2.

Even the Shinobi Game was class and still underated imo.
You have to work at it to fully appreciate it.

Perhaps the only thing the Saturn doesn't have is a top draw Sonic Game and a decent footy game.

Back to the topic, I'm going against the grain a bit here, but I found GH to be a bit boring. I got mine for 12 quid, tatty, and played it 2 player and just thought it was a little boring, fun for a few levels but then with a thought of when's it going to end, and by the end we were bored. Plus for the fact that there's absolutely no mention of Treasure anywhere at all on the PAL version, except possibly in the credits, but there's certainly nothing on the box or in the manual.

Having acidently snapped off my 50/60 switch a couple of months ago jamming it in the 60 position, I have eventually got round to fixing it. First game I put in was Guardian Heroes and its still as good as I remember it. Like vertigo says it seems to go on for ever, but if you enjoy the simple, but manic play mechanics then thats a good thing. Silly character design along with huge sprites make it a riot. And 6 player battles are crazy particularly when using the earth and sky spritit (though pros play with the rabbit or small child of course). Only beaten by Deat Tank Zwei in the multiplayer stakes.
