Correct - theres a meter that determines your speed, when it's at full and you hit the box on the side you get a star... every time.

If you mean the main game, I think I got them all, but there's the side quest for the extras in 3 where you control the commandos you met in the main game. can't remember theirs without cheating, and I didn't cheat on this - purely from memory, fact fans! ^^
