So you're argiung over which is better, double type or single type? Surely there are enough of both to satisfy you? I enjoy having to work out what's strong against one type but not the other.

My problem with this is that it creates really derivative stupid looking bastards with contradictory types. Most mentionably Cradily (I ****ing hate battling that thing) and Medicham. Sure it adds a depth to the battling, but why bother having types that cancel each other out?

Crobat? Obtained only when Golbat is happy and evolves. Like the oh so crap Togepi and Togetic.

In total? Including Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Sapphire, Blue Stadium 1, 2, Snap and erk the Puzzle League game?

      About 340 hours.

      Most on Gold.

You're thinking Crobat that evolves when it 'wuvs you', a saccharine addition, much like 'the door to it's heart is closed.' hang on whilst I retch

I really like Kyogre. It's cool as **** having a water pokemon that causes rain so increases thunder accuracy to 100% and boots the power of surf so greatly. Sweetness
Yeah, 'tis good. But personally I find it a little bit cheap. You wouldn't believe how many 'mons it can OHKO with water spout. All my mates use it (along with Swampert) so my team is based around killing those evil two!

There's nothing worse than someone who uses the same technique that's not based on strategy. It's like someone using the same move in a fighter game. Button bashers...

I've been hearing okay things about Groudon, but is it more of the same? Just a high attack statter with the same move? ANy info would be appreciated...

It involved Zangoose and or Svieper, teaching a sleep move to a grass pokemon then breeding a move into it that allows for a move that takes the subject down to 1HP. It wouldn't be good for catching legendaries, but it sounds very good.

I can't remember how you do it or who it involves, but I'm desperate to remember.

Oh, and MrFrosty, there is no bad blood on these forums. Pokemaniacs get a little too excited at times though. I can't wait to go down to oxford and kick your ass though crispin *
Firstly I look forward to doing battle with you nips.
Secondly, what you're talking about can be done with Parasects' Spore and a move learned by Scyther that reduces pokemon's HP to 1 HP. Look it up. Paras is a **** pokemon though, so you'll need to level it massively.

I'm not sure how much time I've put in across all the games, I couldn't even find out becuase I've wiped several games after trading across all the good pokemon and started again.

I played Blue enough to complete the game with 151 pokemon in 22 hours.

I had 3 copies of blue and two Red between my friend and I, which we completed so many times. I know I deleted my own blue save game twice after completion and played through one of the other blue carts. I also completed red once and Yellow once... maybe twice... I can't remember.

I completed Gold Twice with atleast 50 hours each time. Never played crystal or silver. Never got into them.

I've completed Sapphire once, I'm currently at 100 hours. I've put 20 into Ruby so far, and 30 into Colosseum. I've also just aquired pokemon Fire Red. I played for 20 minutes, but think I'll wait until the US version is released to play it more.

I put so much time into red and blue it doesn't bear thinking, but it was all I did in lower school for a good two years of my life.

Pretty much IMO... Bulk up, earthquake and run like hell from water types. It's got the drought / solar beam combo, but they've fixed it in the link battles so you have to swich out and then back in again before it works.

Is anyone else like me, in that they're against having any legendaries in their team... just for the pure satisfaction of downing someone else's that uses them? (Of course I've had my fair share of losses at the hands of legendaries too )

                      K.

What's happened to False Swipe (Scyther/Scizor/Farfetch'd) Is that still there? And do you people meet up and battle at all? Being 22 most of my friends aren't really into Pokemon (cries)

The 1HP thing is got Sapphire + Ruby, I don't even know if parasect is in those... I'm not sure though...

Just to clarify if you were thinking about G/S not R/S.

Crobat, that's the mofo. I've got him from colosseum, but I want to get him 'properly'. Kingdra is my next challenge.

When I 1st got into it, it was all about getting the legendaries, but the only one that still holds me any sway is Lugia. I just really like Aeroblast. The others can kiss my ass. I never liked the birds very much, with possible exception of Articuno, but downing legendaries with a weaker species is always a laugh. I managed to take out a 100 Entei with a 75 Furret. Loved it!

I'm not using any legs any more becuase I've levelled them up so much in Sapphire that I'm fed up with them.

I think it is cooler to have a team of 'normal' pokemon... it's more diverse than having Kyogre, Groudon, Jiachi, Laitos, Latias and Rayquaza.

I'm still not sure about my final team though for Ruby/Sapphire. I tend to find myself taken by water pokemon more than any other due to ice attacks...

If I go with Kingdra is it worth also having salamence... do I keep the starters or go diffferently. I need a good pokedex.

What do you get when you collect all the Pokemon in Blue/Red? Do you go the the Game Freak headquarters in that one town and get a special reward?

Actually, what happens when you get all the pokemon in any of the other games? I'm geniuinely intrigued.

For a 100% completion of a Pokemon game, you should get the most amazing ending sequence ever. Let's not beat around the bush here, I'm talking about slash.
