PS2, Dreamcast, bought month or two after launch. Other machines i have bought are not normally just for one game i'd say the same for these as well. But some games have very large swaying power towards buying a certain machine. PS2 n MGS for example

Final Fantasy 7 made me buy a playstation, all done on release day with one of my early pay cheques from mcds of all places haha..

other than that i dont think i've brought a console for the sole purpose of a single game
