What Microsoft needs to do is to issue something like an "Ultimate Halo Special Edition Bundle" for the holidays. It would be that translucent green Xbox with Halo on the front, translucent green S controller, 2 months of Xbox Live for free, and then a copy of both Halo and Halo2, all for $200. I bet that would shift a few units. Maybe even throw in the soundtracks or something.

I'm glad you're not marketing manager or anything - don't have to give everything away at cheap prices, I'm sure it'll sell itself.
As people have said, they're both great (and very different) games, and I'm sure MS know in the back of their minds they won't outsell GTASA, but can console (parp) themselves by knowing that (a) they have a smaller userbase and (b) they'll still sell more copies ('more of their own', not 'more than SA') of Halo 2 in the long-term (as well as making money from Xbox Live kits) because of the online (and indeed offline) multiplayer; look at GoldenEye.

i was expecting my local gamestation to have sold out all GTA:SA copies on friday. went in mid-day, and they still had copies left.

also, as the PS2 has a much larger user-base than Xbox, it can theoretically sell much more copies of GTA than Halo2.
