    Doom 3, 7/10?

    I'm guessing they just said it wasn't revolutionary, it was too repetitive, but had great atmosphere?

      Yeah, I'm guessing that they think it's a good game with a good engine but the gameplay hasn't moved on.

      Burnout 3 - really looking forward to the full release next month now.

        I would have given Doom III an eight personally, but those scores sound more or less right. It's good to see Burnout 3, The Sims 2 and Tales of Symphonia all getting decent marks.

        By the way, what was the feature from the next month page out of the last issue? It looked distinctly like Edge were going to cover the PSP Wipeout title. Did they?

          Burnout 3 is looking hot folks. The last paragraph on the into is spooky...

            Its not a wipeout feature, instead it focuses on the latest raft of home grown shumps.

                Halo 2, with said article inside and no (thx god) info on the sp. As they say, they want ppl to play it without any prior knowledge.

                And at the end an up in the air qu and answer regards other projects...

                    It was obviously from Warning Forever...

                      The Blizzard/Starcraft article was about thisss interesting and embarassed me because I have the same Ikea shelving unit as Chris Metzen (with almost as sad stuff perched on it...)

                            Anyone who'd actually played it would know.
                            You know, one of the cool kids and all.

                            I couldn't believe they're actually doing a feature on doujin shooters... this might be the first issue I buy in quite a while. I broke out WF and had a go again, I was so surprised... Christ, those motherships are huge bastards now. Tougher, too. ^^;

                              Doom3 review was written by a mate of mine, he'd given it an 8 and had it taken down a mark during Edge's internal review process. Sounds familiar eh?

                              As for Burnout3, I really hope it plays well, from the people I know who've reviewed it lots, it is built very well but is still disappointingly more like B2 than B1. Ah well, I've never let get in the way of enjoying a game now
