Hi,
I remember about a year ago when Gamezville first started on Sky One that it got absolutely slated here. I was one of the many people that posted saying it was completely amateurish and lacking any solidness.
Now, I have to admit that as I have been off for the summer from uni and found it hard to find a job, I tuned in to watch Gamezville seeing as it was now being shown every day at 2. As the episodes went by, it seemed to just get better and better. They did away with a lot of the crap reviews (like asking two seven year olds to give the official 'G' rating) and introduced more accurate and considered reviews from the actual background team.
Granted, the two presenters Darren and Jamie still shout too much and love to wave their arms around, and the people they get to play on the Face-Offs are still mostly lame, but it is now watchable and I actually began to look forward to the next episode. I know it is supposed to be aimed at a younger audience, but the brilliant Consolevania is already for the older gamer who knows about it.
The current series has actually now ended (and replaced with repeats of the first series, which shows how shockingly bad it was originally), but I was just wondering if anyone here had been watching the recent series and what they thought about it.
Cheers
