I've promised myself when I graduate from Uni I can have either a projector or an LCD screen (even if I have to get it on credit) as a reward for all the lack of work I'll have put in purely for that moment ur having now! plus I'd assume by then all new games are prog scan.

Aw man! If there was a reward for that I'd be LAVISHED!

I've been doing my fair share of nothing lately, so I've treated myself to this for progressive scan niceness.

Just waiting for it to arrive.

Sarkster: You wait till you play a non-celshaded game. Not that Wind Waker looks bad or anything in prog but with more realistic style graphics it's even more mindblowing!

Have to say that prog scan isn't that much of an improvement (I use it for dvd as well) and it does have its fair share of probs with (dvd) material that's not properly encoded but it is nice...

...mostly cos it gets rid of scan line flickeryness.

after 2 years of 480p from my cube, my self-modded VGA cable has gone whack, temporarily relegating my monitor to s-video.

                t3h fuZZ, teh fuzzz.

Get out. Progressive Scan has been a major improvement for me over RGB since getting a Tosh CRT (similar to the pic up a couple of posts)

Canton Province - The picture on that is amazing. Good buy!

Cheers Darling. Da TOSHIBA 32ZP48 ?791 (not including the V.A.T which I'm not concerned with) Comes with the DVD Player. You got one?

go here to see the difference between RGB and Progressive. it is massive.

Not necessarily true, but if it floats your boat...

Prog-scan can sometimes sacrifice sharpness (for dvd at least).

That said it's visibly nicer for my Xbox but not that much nicer (I'm running on a Tosh PF2 36"). It's certainly not the "creaming in your pants" difference that peeps are mooting. But it's worth having.

Aye, i've got the 36" version. Well, of the Picture Frame 2 (That's PF3 I do believe)

anephric - I'm really suprised you aren't notiving that much difference. Have you adjusted your CRTs settings for the best viewing, or ket the default? If not, i'll give you mine (Got them off AV forum)

I'm noticing a huge difference on the Xbox and DVD player through Progressive Scan. It must be a little to do with your TV. As I've got the exact same one as you!

Yeah, F-Zero GX just looks horribly good in 480p... and to think this is one of the lower resolutions the new wave of sets are capable of!

Every time I play it, I just can't believe that this feature is totally ignored in most of Europe.. it's shocking.

Right, I'm thinking of getting one of those Toshiba's. Is it really worth going from my Sony Wega 32" to this? I'm a total graphics whore and Progressive Scan sounds the nuts but is it worth spending the extra cash?

Also 007 you got a link for the 36"? how much more is it than the 32?
