I was addicted to wonder boy for months. I've still got the master system copy of it stashed away somewhere which is far better imo

I just love Wonderboy games, especially the shooter/platformer ones. Beating Wonderboy 3: Monster Lair on hard was one of my best gaming experiences.

Theres a hard mode???? God I haven't played it for so long I just can't remember! Yeah I loved the shooter one where you could do a 2 player co-op with that old woman and you rode on dragons and killed giant fish and spiders

Just doing my usual bank holiday housework (ie. the stuff i can't be arsed to do usually - cleaning out cupboards etc) and I found a Pal Megadrive 2 stashed away that i didn't know I had........which was nice!

Just playing Revenge of Shinobi now, still as good as I remember as well. I need an RGB lead though, the picture through the RF unit is infeasibly bad!

              HI

Megaman:TWW did get a pal release, i have one sitting here beside me!

I'm not sure if it was released in the US though - hence the relatively high price for a MD cart.

I'm lucky enough to own about 150 MD carts, the best platformers are indeed the ones stated my favourites are :-

James Pond 2, Castle if illusion, Ghouls and Ghosts, Eswat, Ghostbusters.

Its also good for proper scrolling beat'em ups - Goldenaxe is still very playable, as are the Streets of rage/ bare knuckle games. [yawn]

There's a different 'true' ending when you beat it on hard, there are a few extra enemies and boss attacks too.

The arcade version plays quite differently; some of the bosses are seriously unfair. There are loads of extra levels as well although they aren't that good. Mega Drive is definately the best action WB in the series.
