Seriously, you only have yourself to blame for a reading an IGN review.

repeat after me - IGN is for screenies and movies, not for good quality reviews!

Also, if he insists three times it contains the original games, and not just one race track from each - maybe it does? lets wait for the release date and see what happens before we go on a witch hunt.

All this talk just makes me dream

DAYTONA USA to come out on Xbox
Sega and Sumo Digital have announced today that tomorrow, they will be releasing Daytona USA for Microsofts very large console, which will of course be Live- enabled with scoreboards, DLC & featuring full online play for 16 players over couses from Daytona USA 1, 2 & the Saturn's CCE. Microsoft are very pleased with the title so far, with our source saying the game looks 'fookin A'. A Nintendo spokesman said 'aiiii sega are old skool' before his face imploded. Sumo Digital are taking a well deserved hour off before starting work on Sega Rally Live, after the ****ING WANK Playstation2 version got canned.

A couple of interesting points from two posters over in a similar IGN thread...

I was seriously contemplating a purchase of this game based almost solely on the fact that Daytona USA was unlockable. That's a pretty huge mistake for a reviewer to make (and to make multiple times?). Seems a little fishy to me.
If it is just a track from Daytona 2, meaning you still use the Outrun 2 cars on it, any sane gamer would have to be high to write in an editorial (multiple times!?!?) that the entire Daytona USA game was unlockable. That just doesn't make sense to me.
The second I read Daytona USA was in Outrun 2, I would have purchased it based on that (I am working right now at my local game store, but we don't have it yet).

The fact that the review said that, and now it's not true, I too am disgusted. Anyone who sticks up for this kind of blatant, down-right lying-type of journalism obviously doesn't know the rules of the game. You can't just lie to your readers on a potential purchase of a product.

This only furthers my beleif Ign gets paid for reviews. Remember Doug saying MS published Outrun 2, not Sega? And the whole review sounds like a sell. Don't think so? Read it over again. Good journalists don't try to sell a product, they should merley (sp) give their opinion on the quality of it, in this case, a game.
Now don't get me wrong, this is a pretty stupid mistake on the part of the journalist, but don't think for one second I was really upset and emotional, and that the immature writing style displayed in the letter wasn't to get a rise out of people. I enjoy these sorts of replies

That makes this thread even more pointless. Closed by moi.
