Shops opening early Thurs for Halo 2 ?

I've not pre-ordered it, quick phone around to see if anyone will be open at midnight;

GAME opening at 8am
Gamestation opening at 7am
Special Reserve normally open at 9.30 so don't hold much hope (constantly engaged)

Wonder when Tesco will have it on the shelves.... (24 hour one only a mile away)

local Game is opening @ midnight for one hour wednesday night/thursday morning ... local indie is giving me a bell when they get stock in (hopefully tomorrow *fingers crossed*)

I was told to pick it up on Thursday 11th from 8am onwards when GAME rang me up about my pre-order. Roll on the rest of the week.

I've still got to finish San Andreas and replay through Halo beforehand though. From late October to throughout November... It was always going to be gaming insanity.

You could say the same thing about midnight film openings, or early album launches though, couldn't you?

Exactly, plus it is something I've never done. I was thinking about going into Reading, driving right up to the door and checking things out. Probably 3-4 people there. If I go, I'll take comedy photos of teh geeks

I don't think its sad, when its been so anticipated for so long. The queues for the new Star wars film will probably start soon after Christmas, Harry Potter books get people out and queueing, why shouldn't the sequel to the most popular Xbox game?

We are all on here as gamers trying to shake off the nerdy image and get gaming more exceptance why should we not stay up a bit late?

If The gaming industry is as proffitable as the movie industry etc as we are oftern told, I say well done to Game, Gamestation et al for providing a service. (if they had any sense they would get in some Red Bull and Pringles for sale, and make a killing)

I wonder if Tescos will put it on the shelves at 12?

If I wasn't working the next day I would deffo get a copy at midnight if the stores were open. Reckon I will just pick one up on the way home from work instead.

On the basis of the GTA midnight launch at the GAME I work at you'd be surprised. We took ?7,000 in 2 hours. You do the maths at ?40 per copy.

Is is only select GAME's opening at midnight for Halo though.

I'm near Romford, won't be queuing outside GAME at 8am though (have to work Thurs & Fri ) either wanted it midnight or will pick it up Thursday lunchtime I guess.

Still reckon Tesco's is best bet, won't be on the shelves I'm sure, will collar a spotty 16 year old one minute past midnight and make them seach the whole warehouse for it - it worked for MKDD last November

Can't belive it's been almost 12 months since MKDD came out come to think of it.
