Has anyone managed to find a copy of SSV? Apparently it came out middle of last month but I haven't seen it anywhere!

I got a copy from gamestation. ?9.99 but ps2 only at the moment.

Managed to find a copy in Gamestation too, probably didn't find it before because I'd given up on it ever coming out! It has an advert for NeoWave in the instructions so hopefully that'll be out soon too at a budget price.

Picked up NeoWave today, will give it a play when I get home later. Wasn't really impressed by SSV, Ignition included a bizarre 'blur-o-vision' effect that makes everything look like crap.

Picked up Metal Slug 5 for ?3.99 in GAME (brand new by looks of it!!).

It is very enjoyable indeed.

Is there any news on Metal Slug Anthology coming out in Pal territories for PS2? Checked the Ignition website and they only mention the PSP and Wii versions.

Also, does anyone know if the PS2 versions are emulated or are they actual conversions?

Obviously 3 onwards already exist for PS2, plus X on the PSone, but what about the original and MS2 I wonder...

Apparently they are all emulated in the Anthology versions, and slowdown has been mostly removed from MS2.

well metal slugi really liked.....but with every sequel i have grown less and less fond of it

Metal Slug 4 should be buried in the desert ET style, 5 was ok(ish). I just want a decent conversion of 2 and X, 6 is just a bonus.

I'd just like to know why people rate them so highly. MS1 was average at best and the rest not even as good as that.

Now I like that type of game as much as anyone, the Contra series are some of my fave games ever, but the MS games just can't seem to hold my attention for more than a couple of minutes.
