Anyhow, it's a **** story. And a crap ending. One doesn't really identify with

the hero's death and sacrifice considering how many goddamn times you die in trying to reach the end.
Ah, that's what I meant. And I didn't say it was good Just obscene.

      WIND WAKER SPOILERS BELOW

      "I want to unflood Hyrule!"

      "You evil bastard Ganondorf!"

The only bad things he did was...

-kidnap all the zelda lookalikes to try and find her Tri Force piece.

-blow up great fish island in the search for those pearls to get into that temple.

-spread his evil do'ers around the world.

Great WW plothole for you - If Ganondorf is after the triforce - Why didn't he just take the parts before you hunt them all down? He had his minions guarding each piece so it wouldn't have been hard to!!!

You're probably right, but because I spent over twenty (or even thirty?) hours on the game, the only story elements I remember are the beginning and the lovely cutscenes at the end. Nothing in between. This isn't even a Pixar movie where you can surrender yourself and give the movie story your full attention for two hours... games drag on and on, and therefore need rather simple objectives that you can remember; eg. Halo; blow up the ring, or large parts of Half-Life 2: get to Black Mesa East labs during the hovercraft section.
