I considered making this point in the PSP thread before deciding to make it here instead.
Nintendo had a far better DS launch in the US then they had in Japan, yes there was the fact that they went to market on a weekday (of all things) but it raises an interesting question, is Nintendo waning in Japan, and if they are could it be possible that Revolution will show up in the US before it shows up in Japan?
After selling so many DS units in North America and getting the jump on Sony by a few months at least, I think it's very possible that Ninty could try and do the same thing and launch their next console in the US before Sony manage to bring the PS3 across from Japan.
Thoughts?
