I'll try, but I have Suikoden IV and Fullmetal Alchemist pre-ordered for January and Xenosaga 2 for February. This doesn't give much leeway moneywise, but then playing those through fully would not leave much time ...

You're fine then, if Suikoden IV and Fullmetal Alchemist are both due in January, then that's your two games. Sorted.

Having just recently bought some games/other game related stuff I was going to buy last year(Paper Mario and Zelda: Four Swords, I'm gonna do the same.

I figure ?60 should be fine for every month and whatever I don't spend in one month will carry over to the next. This will hopefully include old and new games. Since I've spent ?60 on Paper Mario and Zelda I'm not gonna spend any more money on games this month (touch wood). For next month I'm going to pick up Wario Ware Touched(US version) and Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat(PAL version). I'm not too sure about March, maybe Xenosaga 2 and the US version of Yoshi's Touch and Go! After that it'll probably be the PAL version of RE4. Now I hope I can stick to that.

I'm joining with this, but I think it's just because I don't have the urge to buy so many games.

Resi Evil 4 and Splinter Cell this month.

Actually, i've noticed i'll go months without buying one single game. :\

O.K. If I do the ?60 on new stuff per month that will actually increase my new spending by ?30. The last 'NEW' game that I bought on release was Halo 2.

I think i'll stop buying GamesTM...That way i can afford one extra game every year for the same budget as before.

I'm planning to actually use my wishlist properly. Which is to say, when I decide something's out that I want, don't immediately buy it but whack it on my GS wishlist. Then buy a game off the list when I've got some spare cash and / or time. I've cancelled my RE4 pre-order for this very reason.

I have ordered DOAU (To test my new HD Xbox kit, natch) and the original MGS on Playstation (As I'm determined to get into the series, after reading the superb review of 3 in g? and having owned 2 pretty much since I bought my PS2) already this month, but that's before I decided to do this.

That's it though until I've finished the few games I got for Christmas (Or at least given them the time they deserve, to determine whether I like them enough to play them through to completion... a given for Echoes but not necessarily for Warrior Within or Psi-Ops).

If I were to snap for a game this month though it would be Strangers Wrath.

****, I've probably been spending ?60 per week recently...

As a result, I've got a stack of recent games like Metroid Prime 2, Ace Combat 5, GT4, Naruto 3, Psyvariar 2 (PS2) etc etc still in the wrappers. Which, in a way is great since there aren't many games I still "need" to get, so sticking to ?60pm will be easier, but I doubt I'll manage it every month.

My main resolution for 2005 is to actually complete more games (or at least get decent VFM from them) before moving on to a new one. I rarely did this last year. I would usually just play a new game for a couple of nights, then play something else...

So far, I've been true to my word. I've been playing MGS3 since New Year's day, and I'm not touching anything else untill it's finished.

Just checked my account with VG+, and I also have Digital Devil Saga pre-ordered for February. So no other new games for me until March. Maybe I can forget about buying games and get on with playing them ...
