I know i mention a few Super Famicom titles there, but considering that system had a 8-bit Sony SPC700 digitized sound chip some of the music they managed to create was nothing short of stunning for that time.

The Metroid Prime soundtrack has been the one that's stuck in my mind most of late. Very atmospheric.

Although having Bass Rider from Ridge pumping in my car on the way to work does tend to get the pulse racing.
