my ps2 serves as a decent shelf for my cube. the xbox is a bit too curvy to put the ps2 on top, but again the cube is fine sitting on it in the ps2's absence. heck, the ps2 can also handle my dc and my saturn on top of it. heck, it's got marks all over the top from the rubber feet of the other consoles...
i also sometimes pile cd's on top of it and/or jewel cases (saturn games etc)
and that's one of the main reasons my ps2 gets the longest 'shelf space'
and before you ask, i haven't tried the xbox on top of the ps2 and i don't intend to. that'd just be silly!
