    Best Arcade ever?

Came across these pics of a Japanese arcade earlier(almost literally) and I think I may be forced to tell my loved ones to bury me there when I die. Anyone living in or has visited Japan recognise it?

They also have Samba de Amigo

Impressive, but it wouldn't be the best arcade. Maybe the best in one genre, but surely the cream of the crop would have to be balanced across the the greatest of the greats in all spectrums/genres?

And also have a top notch crowd to boot.

I know what you mean, I woud assume they'd have at least some games other than just music games, the pics were taken from a Bemani related site which explains the focus on only those kind of games.

For me personally it would be my ideal arcade even without beat em ups & shmups etc, I'd kill to have just one arcade in this country with a Beatmania IIDX machine the fact that the place in the photos has 6 in a row is taking the piss.

Looks to me like a warehouse mate. A warehouse on display.

Looks to me like heaven. Absolute heaven.

But what on earth is that Taito machine doing in there, with it's teeny joystick and meagre selection of two highly conventional fire buttons?

Anyone know what it is, and why it's worthy of a place next to Pop'n ??

And by proper games you mean what exactly?

Have you played any of those games for any great length of time?, I can assure you that games like pop' n music, beatmania and guitar freaks etc have as much to offer as any other games in any other genre you could mention. Not only are they incredibly fun and rewarding to play but some of them offer as much if not higher a challenge than any beat em up, arcade racer or scrolling shmup, just because they have a seemimgly novel controllers does not make them novelty games.

I've been playing Beatmania IIDX constantly for over 2 years now and I'm nowhere near mastering it (even the best players in the world can't pass certain songs) it's the most rewarding game I've ever played and it's also a game that's held my interst more than any other title I can remember, for someone to tell me it's not a "proper" game not only smacks of sheer ingorance but it's also pretty damn insulting. I'm sure others on this board that play these games on a regular basis would feel the same.

As you can see they do and Para Para Paradise also , although they don't seem to have Pump It Up,Mambo A Go Go,DanceManiax, Pop' n Stage EZ 2 Dancer, EZ 2 DJ and a couple of the more rare music stuff. That Samba pic suggests they do have games other than bemani stuff, I think that's Battle Gear 3 and Virtual On in the background.

It's places like that which makes me desperate to go over there at some point

Holy Christ, that is some arcade.

It's good to see a thread like this bringing out bemani fans anonymous too

I thought this was about the magazine "Arcade" (caps and all).

WHERE'S THE 3RD STRIKE MACHINES!?!?! I can't take an arcade seriously without them.
