Ack, just seen this thread. I posted in the Xbox headlines one. Stupid berk Moody. Anyway, I got a 2 pin plug for my PAL Xbox, so I can't actually use it. Have they sent me the wrong one, or does everyone get the 2 pin one?

On the net. I tried to sent an email via the support thing, but decided to try via phone as well. Phoned up customer services, they gave me the power chord number. I try that, and it is all automated. They want you to type in your serial key. Yet I already have a cable, they won't sent me another one. If I tap it in, I won't get one. Stupid MS.

EDIT - Just had a look at the box the cable came in. Came from Southall. Would would 2 pin chords even be in the UK? Madness

EDIT - Got a reply for my email. It said ring the power chord replacement number. Arragggh. Did it. Finally noticed right at the end of the thing there was an option to talk to someone. This was after you inputted your serial number and date. Even better, after telling them the number and date (again) they said I already had one. I know, that's what I said when I first answered. I get the feeling that I ain't getting one, or they will mess this one up again. Joy.

I've got loads of adapters sitting around so the fact that I have a two-pin one as well isn't really a problem for me but i'll get another one in anyway when the lines open again.

I think MS still think I'm German; when I got the two free games and controller when MS dropped the price by ?100 they sent me German copies of Amped and Abe's. So I phoned and asked for english copies. Butthey sent me two more German games. Phoned again, never saw anything else from the again.

I wasn't complaining though. I knew someone who worked inGame so swapped the German games for PS2 games (Rez, Ico limited edition, GTA and FFX) and they sent the German games back as a mistaken dispatch. Result. Only wish i got more German games from them.

wush, it'll degrade the picture quality because any switch/led or similar device fitted to a cable attracts radio frequency interference (RFI) and electro magnetic interference (EMI) which degrades the current/signal.

To be honest it doesn't make a big difference but some people do notice a drop in quality, I even went to the trouble of replacing the sockets in my house feeding the TV, hi-fi, videogame consoles, PC etc..with hospital grade unswitched sockets.

Reporting back, the new cable makes no difference to the image quality at all on my set-up (Official MS RGB SCART into Phillips 32" ws) whatsoever.

Yeah, mine just turned up and it has a *slighty* different end bit. No extra boxes with buttons or LEDs.

I still haven't even got mine, yet it was sent on the 21st February - the email did say allow 2-3 weeks for delivery though?

My brother ordered his one literally a week after me, and he has it already, though he got a normal cable that looks no different to the regular one?!

Just had a knock on the door from a DHL man with a parcel from Japan. I ordered 2 cables for the two X-Box's that needed them,one is a Jpn Smoky black that i have since put a Uk PSU in, and Microsoft have sent me a 2-pin cable all the way from Yokohama for it.

Maybe those waiting longer are waiting for the fancy new ones which might ship from Japan or something, so take longer.
