    FIFA STREETS, what do you think of it ?

    Been playing last few days, to me it seems like NBA jam but with football..

    It is ok i suppose for some light hearted fun away from the more serious games, but im not sure it has that long term appeal that PES series has got.

    Just completed the france stage and unlocked Rivaldo,Fridel and Yakubo and a Las Negros stage...

    Might be better in 2 player mode tho wont get the change till weekend..

    Anyone else had chance to play yet ?

    Music by that dizzy rascal is fecking annoying tho...

    I think it's...

    No seriously. I haven't played it it (never will) so i'd thought i'd inject some comedy.

      overall the game is not bad, certainly it was a pleasant surprise...however the one major gameplay issue that bugs me (this a fault in the normal fifa as well) is that you do a move until the animation for the previous one has finished. i.e. you do a trick but as it looks like it will lead the player to far to one side you to take a snap-shot but it wont let you. Even when it does let you take the shot there is no quick-shot animation so it has to go through the loooong pull-back (the way you would kick a deadball) to take the shot, by which time the opportunity has been missed.

        It's one of the worst games I've played for a long time.

        Anyone who likes this is an idiot.

                Oh dear, hark at the high and mighty attitude. I dislike Fifa as much as the next man and doubt very much whether I'll play this but jesus, Rubiq was only asking for ppl's opinion on the game, not character assasination. And that's all I'm saying...

                      FIFA = ****e
                      Street = ****e.

                      So it hasn't got exactly far to go to reach newmiyamoto's claim that it's "a pleasant surprise".

                        Even IGN completely slated it, so if ever there's a recommendation something is ****, then there you go

                            A fair enough point, but my "attitude" just sort of illustrates how angry this game makes me.

                            However, I accept I was a bit off, and in light of this, here's a slightly better post about the game, taken from my post on this subject in another forum:

                            Fifa Street isn't equally as bad as the Fifa that gets churned out every year.

                            Even though Fifa 200X isn't exactly football at its best, it's much more functional and provides much more depth and longevity than Fifa Street.

                            Fifa Street is a stunningly poor game proffering seemingly limitless inadequacy in all areas. The physics, ball control, collision detection, character manoeuvres and anything else essential to a football game are all well below the standard they need to be for this to be both entertaining and worth the asking price.

                            It's not even worth a rental.

                            Also consider the relentless wittering of MC Harvey, the game's torturous commentator. He makes a complete fool of himself. Little of what he says makes any sense and just goes to prove what a complete spaz he is. When Fifa Street came into the office at work, crowds of people gathered to laugh incredulously at what they were hearing, not dispersing until after a good ten minutes of aural molestation.

                            Anyone who says this is even an average game has very low standards.

                            Seriously, it is the duty of everyone here to tut, point and snigger at anyone you happen to see even pick this up off the shelf, let alone actually pay full price for it.

                              I should point out that this man now works for Future, not us.

                              Even though he's right.
