Sony most definetly does, and even budget games come in the official Sony shrinkwrap.

I have to agree with all the points raised about Game here.

While the two main branches are not that good the one in fenwicks is happy to break the release on just about game if they have it in. Always handy to know if i have to have the game a couple of days early.

the think i find worst about Game (after the prices) is the store layout. You have never seen a worse layed out store than the small Eldon Square store.

The yjust seam to dump games whereever the ycan find space, Gamecube games have moved about 6 times in as many months as have DS games. Apart from moving the games they are not in any order on the shelf and most of the time they do not even have out a good percentage of the stock.

I remember going in to ask for Rayman DS a couple of days after the DS launch (doing the trade in any 4 games deal), i was pointed to the DS section, after looking for about 10 minutes through boxes of Sprung i went back to ask and was told he would have to get one from out back. this is not the first time it happened.

Compare this to Gamestation who put all new released out in their own section so you can see them when you go in the door and have all games in alphabetical order. They are usually a big cheaper and do have the odd bargain, i got a Mario Kart stylus (offical Nintendo one) for 99p. They sell for between ?8-?10 on ebay last time i checked.

Dont you shop in Grainger Games in the Grainger matket?

They are by far the cheapest and sell most games as soon as they are in stock, they also have a healthy stock of US DS and Advance games.

They have Snow Board Kids for just over 20 quid at the min

That's odd as my Pro Evo 5 was not shrinkwrapped. Neither was my Suikoden IV or Ring of Red and I don't think my Castlevania DS was either. Do you live in the UK? Just wondering as the only Suikoden IV that I've seen shrinkwrapped was I believe a French version.

Went into game on saturday in Keighley they had a limited number of xbox 360's for sale they had a printed A4 sheet stuck on one of the box's offering the xbox a load of crap 3rd party rubbish and Ten games for around ?980, with a suposed saveing of over ?80.

I've never seen such an inflated bundle before and it stinks of the tricks they pulled last year when the ps2 was in short supply, is it me or dose that not sound like there trying to cash in on desprate parents who havent been able to get a 360 for there kid before christmas?

Has anyone else seen this in any game stores across the uk or is this a rouge maniger trying to up his christmas sales with hugeley inflated bundles.

Yes, I'm in the UK. My ProEvo 5 was from Tesco online. I've seen some sealed Suikoden PAL on eBay.

I haven't looked of late but all the PAL Suikoden IV's that I've seen on eBay have either been resealed or non UK versions eg French.

Trust me, if we had the time to do it (thanks to the silly lack of hours we can't), then we'd have everything ship shape, well, if I was manager we would. I'm the Queen of the DS, GBA and 360 sections, I tend to go into the Xbox one too, no one bothers looking for newly released games to put on the shelves, it's stupid - seriously silly practices. Especially where games could be anywhere, and we're forced to go out to the back to collect games, when it'd be quicker to file them all - don't get me started on the labelling of the drawers behind the counter! Had to redo them so I knew where to find stuff.

You got ripped off at GS though, the Mario Kart stylus should have been given away free, got a few from my local (Christmas present for my friend and I).

Sorry to dig this up but I couldn't let this slide:

Went into my local GAME on Saturday for a quick browse. Never to buy anything, only to see what's going on in PAL land. Anyway, I notice only one guy behind the counter and it's the manager (who I've seen loads of times). The other staff are out near the shelves talking to customers.

I mosey on over to the PC section when a guy with one of those multi-memory cards starts asking the manager about it.

"How much it can store?" he says.
                      "Mmm I don't know, let's see, 32 thousand K. That's alot." the Manager replies.
"How many meg is that?" customer asks.
"I'm not sure. Hang on..." (hails out) "Gary, how many K are in a meg?".
                      "500" replies Gary.

I headed straight out after hearing that and burst out laughing. I don't know where they find these people, but it's both worrying and funny.
