Has anyone 'imported' the PS2 version then? Xbox is out tomorrow I see some people in the US of A have it already....

Doesn't mention the Live play at all, which is disappointing, but the review is generally positive.

In Freestyle, you're both free to do whatever you want in the world. Both players can pilot any unlocked machines, which can set up some cool scenarios -- jumping the helicopter, for example.

Oh please let that work on Live, too. (He's talking about split screen here.) I've yet to read if you can do freestyle online.

Shipping date is today, street date tomorrow. I'm excited enough to try my local late tonight on the off chance it's in. If not, I'll have it tomorrow night for sure. Oh yes.

my ps2 version will hopefully be home when i get there today, if not then it had better be there tomorrow (please) cause i want it before the weekend. i don't have live! at the moment (still working on setting up my modded xbox to lock the drive etc), and i didn't like the ultra sensitivity of the controls in xbox MX Unleashed so i've returned to the ps2 for this version. hopefully it runs well. ATV3, while being a piece of crap, looked quite good so graphically there shouldn't be an issue. and split screen on a widescreen tv is okay fun anyway.

if it's arrived when i get home i'll post about the MP games and whatnot as soon as i know (and when i can pull myself away from it and not immediately jump on WoW when i sit down at my PC)

When is the Xbox version out in Australia please Mark? DVDCrave says May but across the globe it's been a week after the PS2 release (I have a friend that wants the Pal version ASAP).

i got the game the online modes are:
Racing: supercross, nationals, short track, waypoint race, hill climb, open class racing and supermoto
FreeStyle: high score challenge, combo challenge and follow the leader.

No mention of Mark's mini games, but I do hope this guy is right about the Freestyle modes online. I can see those being wonderful late at night on Live, when there's no more shootin' to be done for the day.

Off to pick it up in a few hours.

EDIT: Also, was putting a bundle of old mags out last night when I found a big Unleashed feature in a Nov 2004 copy of Game (Mis)Informer. They mentioned a "Pro Physics" mode which is hardcore realistic, nowhere near as forgiving as the default mode. Has to be unlocked, though, they said. Also, the ragdoll is meant to be constant, so it's even active while your rider's in the saddle.

Excellent stuff. Can't say I'm too fussed about Freestyle but looking forward to some indoor racing action!

Apparantly it's 6 players with ATVs/MXs and 4 players if you have the other vehicles.
