Ratchet and Clank and Greatest Hits

So what's the difference between Greatest Hits and Platinum? I have a few Greatest Hits titles and they all have normal disc art, atleast I think, no generic silver in any case. The only difference with the originals is a red bar on the cover saying Greatest Hits. Is this a different series from Platinum then?

Good question... I never bothered to think why in the U.S. they have greatest hits, while in europe it's platinum.

Not sure about PAL versions but the US Player's Choice releases have an identical game disk and manual - the only difference is the cover which has a yellow Player's Chocie banner on it.

Yeah, the U.S. version is the one I was inquiring about. Cheers yet again gossi. Have you ever noticed how the player's choice titles have the: 00101 number above the barcode, whilst the very first batch of games has the 00000 code number? The only other one I've seen is 00100, which I suppose is the second batch. Don't know how many there are in general. I'm guessing they use that to mark what "production batch" the game came from eh? Ok, I think I'm rambling now....

US Player's Choice don't bother me at all really, the PAL ones however look out of place on the shelf .

Those PSX games with the huge vertical green bar are probably the worst though, you have to wonder if they made them extra ugly on purpose or something.

I think the yellow bar on the spine of the U.S. player's choice titles is the worst aspect as it just stands out. But I agree... the Europe Player's choice titles are even worse. All silver... look so cheap.
