Lucky Son of a bitch !man I'd pay to have a few sessions with that dude, bet he's getting his behind whipped!
    I got totally dicked on

I also played Muki (Akira) in one match (one of the champions and the Sicko with perhaps the best Akira in Japan) who owned me completely as well (although I got a round off him).

    UK we need VF net...
Yeah to hook up all five of the Evo cabinets in the entire country

I must add that the arcade in full of trophies that they`ve won in ****loads of tournaments and every Friday (as well as on other nights often) most of Tokyo`s best arcade players converge down there for utter sickness. The Evo floor is FULL of all those people you see on the various net vids and the green book DVD. It really is a whos who of the VF world- and is too much for little me to take (I get owned badly in that arcade)
Why do I have to be stuck in this country? What did I do wrong? (I must have been a complete barsteward in a past life!)

Must be a great learning experience to see these top players in action,

It's a shame the arcade scene in the UK is so dead the potential for good players is there.

Half the problem is that many in this country lack the respect for the arcades, as saur will tell u. No one takes care of them and they just get abused and fall into disrepair.

pisses me off, i cant remember the number of times that ive truied to use an arcade and its either broken or has been damaged in some way (like the gears not working springs to mind)

ITs a catch 22 situation, players wont come till the arcades asre decent and stocked with good games and the arcades wont be decent till the players come and shunt some money into them.

I assure you this. If VF4Evo was 30p per play with VFNet installed and a PSX pad input then we'll get results in this country.

Remember, VF4Evo is Chess. Just because you know these tricks it doesn't make you an expert. Fundamental thinking and cool are the keys. Saur learnt this the hard way last week and now he's Super Saiyan 2 like me. Greenbook jap players are Super Saiyan 4's.

Aye that works a treat. 11 6P+K is pretty handy too if you're in a spot.

One thing I am having problems with (akira wise) is performing some of the harder moves from 2P side.
I'm thinking I've got to be a bit more gentle with the joystick (FT2)?

I'm finding the infamous spod move really tricky from 2P side. 1P is no problem though. Anyone got any tips?

You need to be more gentle on the commands - if you be forceful the motions are slower. When I do SPOD I only use the inner section of the joystick (just enough to contact the switches, but not hitting the edges) - have a look if that works for ya!

I have serious problems with 1164P on player 2 side

This is what I dont get. I have ENOUGH problems pulling off 11 or 33 moves with a stick, no matter what side. Why do I subject myself to this when I can probably pull 'em off 100% with a dual shock? I dont challenge in arcades so why is my VF4 stick better then a pad?

                          Speed and accuracy

There is no need for pads on beat em ups - they way you have to keep shifting positions with your hands whether you are buffering in counters, doing combos, tech rolling etc totally slows down your commands.

I wish Trojan X would stop using pads and learn how to use stick. There is no excuse for a London brer who should be challenging in arcades to be using the PS2 pad (and it's irritating during challenge meet ups) - you are holding yourself back blud.

Most people are far too heavy handed and forceful on sticks - there is no need for this. As the switches are so big you can get loads of very accurate commands input in a very short time. For example getting the whole SPOD motion in before the 2nd hit connects or going (with Akira) 3346P P+G 4+P+G 2+P+G 8 G to connect a double palm, buffer in throw cancel, sidestep and tap G (to cover against grab, high attack, delay and sidestep)

Some people (not me) reckon that this is the case for sticks, I'd say each have there own benefits and disadvantages, each to there own I guess

I was practicing 3 way cancel buffering for 3 hours last night cos of that kicking I took!

That's gonna work for Wolf but not Shun Your Akira's is definitely improving anyone who can pull off dragon lances the majority of times has definite potential.

Funny story I was reading on the VF forums when one guy phoned up Sega america to ask about the release date for evo the geezer on the phone said he never heard of the game!! Sega are so ****eD
