With every console you own, you started somewhere, with one game, the first game to fill its CD tray or cartridge slot. Indeed, the first game you ever played on that machine.
So, going through all the machines you own, what was the FIRST game you ever played on each? No doubt you bought several titles to go with your new purchase, but I'm interested specfically in the first thing you ever booted up and played. I'll start by listing the machines I own (or have owned), and the games I christened them with:
C64 - Thrust (the music had me entranced!)
Gameboy - Parasol Stars (I lost hours to this)
Megadrive - Strider
N64 - Mario 64
PSOne - Resident Evil (couldn't get into this game, and ended up getting FFVII instead...)
NGPC - Samurai Showdown (still my most played game on this machine!)
Dreamcast - Bangaio
GC : Super Monkey Ball
GBA - Castlevania : Circle of the Moon (wasn't too impressed tbh...)
PS2 : Freak Out
SNES - Super Metroid (retro tip, of course - and what a game to start with!)
Saturn - NiGHTS
DS - Feel the Magic
OK, over to you, people. Name the game that popped a given console's cherry.
nb: Don't post a list of your launch titles...
