    Nicest - White PC Engine.

Panasonic Q's are hideous as is anything made of 'silver/platinum' plastic.

You don't see enough consoles shaped like upturned dustpans these days.

The Maziora DC is my alltime favourite but the original PC Engine is a classic.

It's pretty difficult to choose one out of all consoles ever.

But I'd say the original Atari VCS is a pretty excellent example of industrial design.
Wooden sides just like your Grandads old car and a great big cartridge sticking out at a slant. Classic.

I find most modern consoles rather gimmicky and plasticky. Gamecube is a great design but just feels too cheap.

PS2 is my favoutrite design recently. It just looks stylish, solid and functional.

Gameboy Advance SP is another classic design. Sony should take note of its functionality when revising the PSP. I'm terrified to take my PSP out the house just like I was the original GBA.

EDIT: Actually as GBASP is basically the game and watch multi screen design, as is the DS then Game and Watch has to be the classic handheld design.

If consoles were cars, the Panasonic Q would be a chavved-up Corsa...

The silver/black Dreamcast is one of my favourites.

I've always had a soft spot for the US Super Nintendo, aka the breeze block. There's just something about the simplicty of it. Solid and chunky with an understated but tremendously effective grey & purple/lilac colour scheme. An unpretentious box of wonder. A proper toy.

The limited edition silver Dreamcast comes a close second.

                      It's alive!!!

A design so totally apposite that one cannot argue with the logic of its aesthetic.

                      It's a bog.

Looks like one of those 'robot' hoovers or a failed Bigtrack design.

Anyone who suggests the PS2 should really pay homage to the Sinclair Janus!

Hmmm. Looks like my DSL modem.

PS2 just looks like a decent piece of kit that discreetly fits in the living room rather than a Fisher Price toy that your daughter left lying around or a hideous crate taking up too much space.

I prefer the original to the PStwo.

The PS2 does rather remind me of a Sinclair QL for some reason, though.
