    Life Sucking Games

You know the ones I mean, the ones that come along every once in a while that you make excuses to creep off and play, that take over day to day things in your life like walking the dog, the games you cannot get enough of.

Currently, Im addicted to Lumines on the PSP :

This defines addictive, and is the reason why I have a barely played Ridge and Wipeout sitting on my shelf at the moment. Its all about beating that top 220k score of mine, and unlocking those skins. Not to mention the wonderful wireless mode which I use to batter a similarly addicted mate with.

    Its simple genius.

Football Manager (formerly Champ) Like crack once you start playing you can't stop hence why i don't own football manager as much as i would like to. It's the only way to beat the addiction. For me at the mo i have to play Winning Elven 8: LE normally at least once a day else a void is left.

Disgaea for me, I had a feeling I'd click with it but had no idea how much of my time it would take over. I've managed to go without it for a few months now, but if I ever put it on again I just know I will be hooked again. I mean I was waking up early to get some time in, putting it on once I'd got straight back from work, I spent ENTIRE days off playing the thing.

Even now I still have so much to do still ...maybe I'll stick it on for a bit!

...maybe just get a few more specialists for my ronins axe!

        ...It'll only take a minute!

          Currently Dynasty Warriors 5.

I'm very much into the whole "just one more Level..." groove at the moment. At first I tried to resist it but now pretty much all other games have been shelved and I'm spending night after night racking up huge kill-scores, leveling up characters and making a mess of three-kingdoms era China

            Advance wars

it looks so innocent in its little manga box, that is however until you look at your watch and you find out a whole day just went by

Advance Wars and Lumines are two recent examples of games that can do that to me. I've been known to let the hours fly by whilst those games are in my hands.

                      spot a pattern...mostly handheld games.

I'm not really totally sucked into a game right now.
Last mind blowing one was RE4, but it's not much of a repeat play game

I'm loving lumines right now to, I want meteos but i'm gonna wait till the US version cuz still playing lumines so much.

The game that was most effective in sucking away my life and time was -

                      Halo

didn't play anything else for six months.

Mine is easily God of War right now.......haven't played a game in some time that's kept me saying every time I think i'm gonna put it down "play more, MUST play more....."

Sports games often that have the effect for a while, but wear off. This is sticking!

That's mainly because handheld machines are very easy to turn on and off, often you can save anywhere and you can play them everywhere.

Not to mention my PS2 is broke.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Terrible story, far too easy and very repetitive but I could just not stop playing it. As soon as I completed it after 113+ hours play I sold it straight away for fear of it taking over my life even when there was nothing more to unlock.
