Making room for the Next-Gen

My cubes allready packed away for now as the Dreamcast came out last week and now thats getting a decent amount of use with powerstone2.

My modded xbox is staying, as a emu/media center its gonna still get alot of use. Ps2 will prob be moved away as its only getting used when i want a blast on the driving force and gt4. So Im gonna pop that away and get the xbox 360 in there.

TV will be replaces with a nice 26" HDTV, 720p will be fine for what I need as I can see 1080p stuff being a few years off. Will prob also look at getting a few replacement parts for my network, mabie a new router as only have 1 port free. Also a new AV selector for all them new cables to go in.

And a big sale of some older stuff as I have so much stuff need some room for this next gen stuff.

There's too many games for PS2 coming late this/early next for me to consider putting the bugger away just yet, and ditto with Cube. Everything winds down with Xbox soon enough so you'd think that'd be the one to go, but nope - XBMC's existance has pretty much ensured that the Xbox1 will have a permanent fixture under my telly for some time to come yet.

I think I'm just going to have to find somewhere to wedge 360 in for now, but I've got no idea where...

I intend to pass my current generation consoles (2xPS2) to the kids once I have a new PS3 (US and PAL model or modded one). This way I keep them in the house and introduce the kids to a better level of games (my daughter has a PS1 and my son has a vtech smile system)

I have enough room for four consoles, the three current gen ones and I rotate my old consoles in the fourth space as and when I want to use them. Backwards compatibility will ensure that I just swap each new console with its predecessor as and when I buy them. Nintendo's approach means I probably won't need to plug my SNES in again. My fourth console space will only be used for my Sega consoles it seems.

will be banishing the Xbox to make room for either a PS3 for Xbox 360 when they've dropped in price, and the Revolution looks small enough to slot in anyway, so not many changes to my set up.

I don't keep consoles these days, if they get boxed away, they won't be played so I may as well get the cash for them and upgrade, sold on the DC a few years back and athough once in a while I think it would be nice to play, the space beside the TV prefered.

PS2 will be sold off, maybe this year as its just coming to its natural end, the cube will eventually go when the rev appears but not before.

As for the xbox, depends on how good the 360's media playback is, currently I use XBMC daily, an essential app. the 360 will need to handle divx and xvid just a well before I consider selling, I doubt that will go though though, I like the emulation side of things too much.

Update.

Well my old Pioneer 717 has gone as has the Q .
One good thing tho is that i've made more room than i thought possible so i can promote my switched Saturn from the mess that is the games room to it's rightful place under t'telly. Those shooters are in for a pasting today!
