HALO II- Way overrated in the press, the single player mode and more so the AI pales to that of the 1st game. OXB score, just took the royal piss (Is ace in multi Player mode though).

That was the problem I suspect everyone had when reviewing Halo2 - the single player was clearly worse than the original (though no means terrible), but the multiplayer was superb - at least before the cheating and moaning started. My review for the site caused a pretty huge internal debate on the score, we were just lucky that I backed down on my original critique!

Reviewing games is pretty easy, but getting a good score to match it is extremely difficult. Most people here are judging reviews, in particular from gTM and Edge, from the scores they gave rather from what they wrote.

Burnout 3 Why the hell did this game get high scores( 10 from GTM) It's a misjudged badly designed title- inferior to it's prequels in every way.

GT4 was hyped and given good reviews when at the end of the day it's a 4yearold title with slightly better visuals.


Outrun2: This majestic slice of gaming bliss wasn't trumpeted enough by the media. The result: Bad sales and a title people frowned upon

Rallisport Challenge 2: I hear this game sold pitiful amounts- which is sad considering it's a brilliant game with awesome graphics and gameplay. It surely has a lot to do with the dull reviews it received( Edge tiny review and 6/10- the reviewer is pure evil and a moron )



I feel all reviews should be written by a fan of the particular genre. No one would allow a non football fan to write a ProEvo review- and the same shoud go for all other genres.

PN03 - Awesome old school shooter which deserved to do so much better.

I totally agree. It has its faults but I think it's a quality game. Now for mine:

Halo

May be controversial, but I can't see why everyone sees this as so groundbreaking. I enjoy it in co-operative mode, but overall I much prefer Metroid Prime.

Fable

I found this quite tiresome, and I did't think that selecting missions sequentially was a good way of progressing the story of a game like this.

Hardly, unless you mean minority here. Pretty much everywhere else I have seen the view of mediocre taken regarding this game. Then again, if you disagree here, you are wrong, which is funny.

I agree with the review (mostly) of Outrun 2 on this site. Although some people love it to bits, others (such as myself), cannot see why. It's alright, but dull and limited after a few plays. The review cannot be "completely wrong" when half the people agree with it.

The next person to claim that someone else is wrong in such a deliberate way gets a permanent ban. It's ****ing tiresome (me looks at Katatsu). The outrun2 debate has been done to death. Either you like it or you don't (and I'd say it's split half and half in this community). Unless you have anything useful to add to the outrun2 debate rather than just "anyone who doesn't like it is weird", let's move on.
