Finally got my subscription issue, in France no less. (I thought subs take a long time to arrive?)

I see the new USA columnist is Brandon Sheffield. Isn't he the life-long buddy of Kongetsu correspondant Tim Rogers, and also the founder of InserCredit.com? His photo is a little more goth than I expected.

It's all a conspiracy I tells yah! InsertCredit is slowly taking over GamesTM!

Can I ask what has happened to The Shape? Not that I mind Brandon, but Shape's humour was right up my street.

Tope marks for the Panzer feature (Just got my copy) quite enjoyed the Zx feature as well.

Nice to see Killler 7 getting a good and fair review as well. Overall a top read this month. I was in the bog for half an hour

First issue in a while I've read from cover to cover in one sitting. Great hangover reading, it is

I liked the inside back page too, harsh but funny!

Grats on the upgrade Mart. Freelance work please. Ta.

Its obvoius that a lot of reviewers are loners. Bomberman DS 6 LOL its worth atleast a 7 and maybe an 8.

I don't quite follow you, we're in perhaps a better position than anyone to play multiplayer games properly as there are plenty of games and machines always available in the office. Maybe the guys who played it thought the Saturn version and a few other were better.

I've not played Bomberman yet, but as I've heard that the single player game is naff and none of my friends outside of work have a ds there's little point in me buying it

I'll just have to play it at work.

It feels too slow against other versions of Bomberman, it's incredibly limiting in the way that it only lets you adjust one option in a match rather than several and the split-screen battles just don't work as well as they sound like they do.

That ain't an 8 in my book. And funnily enough, it is kind of my book now.

My book, our book... what's the difference? I'm all about the team, I am - not like I write 180 pages by myself. And now that I'm the boss, I need them more than ever. And not in a monkey-jumping delegation way either.

As for the avatar... well, I was wondering when someone was going to notice that.

I don't think it's even a 6. The SP is absolutely terrible, it's a joke. A real chore to play and a far cry from what Hudson achieved on the MD, PCE, and Saturn.

Even the multiplayer is less than it should have been with no dinos to ride and those epic loading times. Music is poor too, where are the catchy tunes that were everywhere on the PC Engine versions?

Did you even bother to play the multiplayer?

I am puzzled as to why you think the game feels slow. Do you mean the gameplay? Character movement? or something else?

Its obvious you did not play the multiplayer for any length of time (if you did play it), as you can have as many settings as you like on the traditional battle arenas. However the new levels have their own stipulations which is why you can't change the settings. If you could change the settings the ywould be just like every other arena.

Did you try any of the crown battle games? (With other human players) what about the mystery items level? or the loadsa items level?

I have not seen the review but 6/10 would be the score if it just had the 1 player and the two screen arenas but it seams like you missed the best bits.

Kotatsu Neko have you played a PSP? The load times (on Bomberman) are very fast compared to the PSP. To load up 4 players it takes about 10 seconds.

Maybe its diffrent between the PAL and US versions. I will agree the 1 player is not the strongest ever and maybe one of the worst in the series but the multiplayer more than makes up for it IMO.
