I don't understand, it says Nintendo posted a profit... that's not the way to go bust?

Tbh, I don't know much about Nintendo's operating policies, their long-term marketing strategies and such, all I know is that they're making money, more so than other manufacturers and that's a really great way to stay afloat.

I can't wait for the Revolution, mind! The idea of playing some of the old classics... Playing Mario Kart 64 and F-Zero X along side other great games in the same box in uni reminds me of school. I'm so excited about the new hardware

      -Releasing the DS worldwide
      -Developing the Revolution
-Getting ready to release the GBA Micro

These things cost money, hence less profits than usual, so I really wouldn't read to much into this.

nintendo are actually making a profit at least, unlike the other two companies.

Nintendo DS is the best selling console at the moment (in Japan at least), and will probably continue to be the best selling console untill the release of the PS3. Nintendo have nothing to worry about.

If nintendo continues the way it is going, they'll still be around for a long time to come. As such it's not really a fact, it's your opinion.

Thanks for that, best laugh I have had in an hour or so. Revolution? Dont make me laugh (again). How many people are going to fork out for past ninty titles, when they are readily available on the internet. Also, when the PS3 and Xbox 360 hit town, I dont think Nintendos going to get a look in.
That's just one feature of the revolution. It's not compulsory for people to go and buy those titles. It's like saying the "Xbox360 being HD ready don't make me laugh, how many people are going to go out and buy a HD ready set to take advantage of that?". The fact that it supports HD is a good thing, just like the downloadble back catalogue is, purely for the fact that the option is there to use it. It is better than nothing.

As for the rest, well we don't really know that much about the revolution at this point in time. Who knows? Nintendo may not get a look in Next gen but only time will tell.

Nintendo are probably the most diverse of the all the Big Three.

                                They will survive.

Im not sure how successful Revolution is going to be in Europe when its released but I will be getting one and supporting it.

I think people forget that Nintendo have been around for years now and were developing games when Sony and Microsoft probably werent too interested in video games.
