This brings me a question. For those who DID get a phone call, did you get the letter saying you can pick yer x360 up next friday?

Wondering the exact same thing for PGR3 at Gamestation. I don't think there'll be shortages with the games, but I'm not too optomistic with anything to do with this launch

My local, small Gamestation called me today to confirm my 360 preorder (9th on the list).

They are getting 26 machines - all premium. They claim I have to turn up for the midnight opening and will not keep the machine for me even if I turn up at 9am next day! I was previously told by the manager that the preorder would be secure until the end of play on the 2nd.

Didn't mention having to buy any bundles and when I asked they didn't even know what bundles would be available. I will not be happy if I turn up at 12 and then get forced to buy something I don't want.

It did make me laugh when they said they would be escorting all customers back to their cars for security reasons...

Argos are not stocking any in store what so ever, they sold them all online, I was reliably informed today, they said they take about 5 deliverys a day of goods... but just get stock randomly, evidently the PSP is just as bad and they randomly had 5 in one delivery the other day, no word that they where coming. told me to check in daily, f**k that

WHSmiths are not doing the console at all, returned the deposits and say they are not getting any of the first shipments.

Just went in in case anyone intrested, I think I will stick to my Tescos theory for now

Littlewoods prices are laughable, so who is ordering off there site, I am not even considering it as an option

Got talking to one of the staffers at Gamestation today when I went to buy the new Battlefield Expansion, poor guys sound like they are going to have a nightmare only 20 premiums and they are doing a late night

spoke to the manager at game derby again today

they haven't got all their hardware in yet but are receiving it next week some time

there is not no midnight opening in derby, instead its 8 a.m.

he said that the 450 bundle is indeed a misprint but if you push it enough they will honour it

he also made a good point, they can't sell bundles to under 18s due to condemned. he's looking into what to do if that happens. they may allow the child to swap the game, in which case you could get arsey about it if you see them doing it

I think that all of blockbusters allocations have gone to Gamestation.

If anyone is unsure about their preorder in gamestation, I think most stores are getting the 26 on the day and a further 9 before christmas. 35 was their preorder cut off point

I fancy one of the bundles but dont want forced to buy Condemned. Am gonna see if it possible to exchange it or something.

In theory, you could buy it along with the bundle take it back 2 minutes later with the receipt and force them to honour the 10 day return policy. In which case you could swap it for one that you actually do want, am gonna pose this situation to them this week and see what they say but it should be ok and allow me to get the 3 games I want and save some money using the bundle.

Cant see there being a problem with doing this??

I phoned my Game store to add something to my pre-order, that's the only reason I know they're sorting through things on Monday and will call people then. If its any reassurance to people, they did seem extremely well organised and got my details straight away from my serial number on the receipt.

As I said, they said there allocation would be enough machines to cover all apart from 4 of the pre-orders.

I fancy the 3 game bundle but want PDZero, PGR3 and Call of Duty 2 so will get the bundle then just take condemned back and swap it for one of those either that night or after a few hours of play there is no reason why the cant accept it, its just depends on whether you have enough of a brass neck to take it back the minute you have bought it, I know I have, hehehe.

I doubt they would send a letter to someone who would not be getting a pack on launch. The letter does state that "your pack will be in store to pick up on launch" so how can they go back on that when it in print?

I think if you have a letter you are sorted but those who aint havd a letter could still be sorted aswell.

I have all my extras ready to confirm and am now scarily excited about next Thursday. Really looking forward to the look on the lads face when he says goodbye after serving me and I hand him back Condemned along with my receipt

i asked the derby manager and he said they aren't accepting them

they've got some deal going with the distributor where they basically get condemned for free, thats why the bundles come with it

they say the best they can offer is a trade in

i think you can argue the point but if thats whats happened then even head office may refuse it

Yeah my store had about 120, but they were supposed to tell people that they weren't getting one on release if they were over 35
