Sephiroth actually did nothing in FFVII apart from that bit in the flashback sequence which was 99% bull**** on Cloud's part anyway - it was all JENOVA's doing using an apparition of Sephiroth just to look cool and to gain the hearts of GameFAQs character battle voters the world over.

So, if you were a gangster, you'd probably be the man at the bottom of the ladder, even lower than someone who's been dead for years and preserved in Mako residue which isn't a very pleasant position to be in.

I don't have a favourite videogame bad guy - Killing them is never satisfying enough, they either have a crappy death, turn good, turn into some big monster or come back again the next gen even though they were proper dead 5 times ago.

It all reminds me too much of Sean Connery being in Highlander 2.

well, you have to like the bad guy cos it represents the idea of something we can and should never be, hence the fact we like them so much! In movies, games, etc its always the bad guys which are well remembered. My favorite bad guy has to be Wesker from Biohazard. He's incredibly obnoxious and vain which makes for one hell of a bad guy! Cold and harsh, yet at the same time he pulls it off with great craft and ability. Im sure there are loads more, but do you remember when you got to play as him in code veronica? ooohhh it was so bad.......... And in the saturn version of biohazard one, it had a battle mode which let you kill a zombie version of him..........ooh it felt so good to colt magnum his bad ass!

If you think about it the four bad guys in Street fighter 2 were unselectable and yet so desirable to be, which serves as another example of trying to get a taste of what it feels like to be in the bad guys shoes!

                Lan Di.

                One ice cold baddass!

He's only on screen for a short amount of time in both games, but his on-screen presence is unrivalled. It's not like he grows on you either,as soon as he appeared i knew suzuki had designed the perfect villain.

The scene at the end of kowloon(shenmue II)is pure epic! one of the greatest moments in videogame history.

I'm not sure if he counts as a villain, but my Seaman was a little **** at times. That little guy broke my heart...

Not only does he have major bosses as his henchmen, but he has your woman dangling in a cage - the fiend!!! He has killed countless Joes and my wavebird.

Not the most intelligent of villains (when will they learn not to signpost their attacks) but surely a worthy addition to the list.

                            Inferno Lord Fire Leo!
