They do look better, but the current white ones feel better under thumb, much smoother than the black ones do.

If it makes playing Vampire Chronicle (and the forthcoming SFZ3: Double Upper) playable to a decent extent it's a worthy purchase imo. I so wanted to enjoy VC but really struggled with HCB and D, F, DF moves.

Are they using a different sort of plastic for the white ones then? I was never a fan of the glossy finish on the black ones due to finger prints and the slipery feel of it. Is the build quality any better on the white ones then? I.E sticky triggers, loose UMD tray, dead pixels etc.

I think they must be, the buttons have more of a likeness to a PS2 controller than the original PSP model IMO.

I can't say I've had any dead pixels - yet - and the tray still feels the same, along with the shoulder buttons as well.

While not having fingerprints on my PSP would a welcome thing, based on that pic at least I could add the white paint myself and still come out with it looking near enough the same. I might just buy myself a custom armor shell for it instead.

Also, I don't think tbh the white colour really suits it, but thats just my opinion. Now a silver PSP, THAT would be sweet.

I think white is the best colour so far for psp its bloody tempting me.

Black consoles are **** its so 90's & they look tacky as hell.

The sheer irony of it all is really amusing. Sony, the inventors of portable audio with the Walkman... Last seen trailing millenia behind Apple in the MP3 player market, miles behind Nintendo in handheld sales, and trying a bit of Apple white to boost sales.

                      How the mighty have fallen!

Im going to stop reading this thread now as all this negativity is sending me into a spiral of depression.

I cant believe someone has uploaded a movie of a d-pad not working! My wife calls me a geek but i wouldn't dream of doing that. What about the hundreds of others that do work, lets see them.

if NTSC would host it we could have a Saturday afternoon matinee!

Or we could run a 'spot the dead pixel' competition......what fun we'd have!
