Butchcvc - did your PSP come pre-fitted with a screen filter? Mine did - don't know if it's something Yes Asia have done themselves of if it was factory applied (damn good job either way).
A screen filter? anybody else able to confirm this?

i got mine too. currently charging so i dont know about dead pixels yet.
this is the first time i've actually seen a psp of any description in the flesh, and it looks quite cute. it is actually smaller than i thought it would be too...took me ages to find it in the box.

no screen protector on mine, although i have one here, just have to see how much i can screw that up. only game i have is ridge racer. but not long till densha pocket. armoured core later in the year, and hopefully initial d too. only other thing i want is taiko, have to see if i can squeeze it in somewhere.

How sad, getting excited about a console which is a different colour, honest i wasn't like that when i bought my white sp on jpn launch

I'm marginally tempted to flog my JPN blackstuff and get one of these, if all this kerfuffery about no dead pixels is trew...

It's a bit odd about the screen filter. I'd bought a Hori one ready to fit & it was only when I was about to apply it that I noticed that one had already been fitted - it's that good a job!

If I'd bought this after launch I'd have been worried that it'd been returned or something but this shipped on the same day as all the other pre-orders. It works perfectly and there is no signs of use or problems with dead pixels, or a dodgy d-pad / square button etc. Bizarre.....

Thats very lucky...I think myself that it is strange that Sony dont just fit a screen protector themselves to all psp's, I'm sure they could fit each one perfectly... although judging by the dead pixel situation, can you imagine the fuss if they mad a slight mistake with the alignment of a few of the screen protectors.

i've had time to play now.
managed to balls up the screen protector at first, but retreived it nicely in the end

i have one weird pixel. not sure what you'd call it...stuck or dead whatever. its ok at doing light colours, but it cant do dark colours...it just goes red instead. its down in the bottom left corner. its clearly visible against the tarmac in ridge racer... if you have time to look down there.
cant say i care much though, seems perfectly normal to have a few.
like other people's, the down key does feel a little different to the other buttons too.

quite impressed overall though, good stuff all round

I didn't want a PSP but for some reason I now would really like a white one All this talk of no dead pixels, raised d-pad and no more dodgy [] button is not helping!

Got mine yesterday - got 2 lit pixels - 1 either side, both at the top.
Nothing to worry about, I can only see them on a black screen.

The build quality is miles better than older machines I had/tried. No dodgy square or right shoulder buttons.

Got mine today. Again no dead pixels The PSP seems about the same, with the exception of the buttons. They are raised and feel slightly better to use. another advantage to this unit (major influence in my decision to buy) was the fact that this doesn't get dirty as easily as the black. Also, the shoulder buttons don't stick on this, but I don't know whether this was sorted out for the later black models too, since mine was a first gen JAP PSP.

Otherwise, it's the same as a black PSP. The square button is still in the same position, and all mechanisms etc. are the same.

Now ive never had more than one type of one console fallen for any other colour but this beautiful thing keeps calling out to me, one thing i wonder though, will the revisions found in the white psp be put into future black psps?

im thinking of ordering one, since all you guys have got them form yes asia wonder if you could answer a couple of questions for me. Is it true you get no custom chages when ordering from yesasia to the uk?

is it only if you selct free shipping do you get no customs charging. Or can you select the quick shipping methods and still get no customs charges.

                            thanks

Thanks for your help, being that people seem to be getting the psp's rather quicly after ordering is this using the standard service.
