I remember importing a modified GC from LikSang late november 2001.. oh the sweet memories. Bought Wave Race cheap of eBay with Rogue Leader right behind. Remember drooling over the pictures of that game in various magazines and websites.
And now that you can get yourself a GC + Freeloader for very little money (in the UK at least), you got yourself a really good entertainment box!

I bought the Cube 3 games:
Wave Race 64:What a turkey! This game has no character, the levels look drab and boring, the music is bland, tooooo much like a PC game!
Super Monkey Ball:This game cheered me up! I love everything about this beautiful experience, a pure Gamecube classic( even though it got ported many years later )
Smash Bros Melee: Such a manic gorgeous game with so much fun to be had, another classic!
Other Gamecube pleasures include:
Beach Spikers: Has that special Sega magic, with fantastic crisp visuals and supreme presentation and control!
F-Zero GX: This game had me salivating like a madman prior to release, and when I finaly got to play it I was in gaming heaven. Everything about it is sublime, from the ultra-crisp detailed visuals, to the atmospheric sound. Sega took F-Zero and added their own flavour. With great tracks and tight control, the game will always be fun!
P.N.0.3: A very unique game, and one that delivers gripping gameplay set amongst a deep sci-fi aesthetic.
The machine has been blessed with a small collection of great games. Nintendo haven't delivered as much as the fans would like, but enough to leave a good impression. Overall it's a great machine, and has provided me with lots of enjoyable hours over the past 4 years, with most of it being due to Sega- which is ironic!Last edited by Leon Retro; 25-09-2005, 02:03.

Fans are never pleased but a small collection of games? Nah, I wouldn't say that. I've got about 60-odd Gamecube games and they're mostly unique to the platform. All great too (personal opinion, bless), more than a small-collection in my book.
The console itself has had a bit of love recently and several folk I've had around to the house (mini-gaming meets, crazy) have all bought teh 'cube for RE4. They're crazy, they could get at least get a good game but sharing the love is cool all the same

I still adore my Cube - it's been far & away the most pleasing console for me this gen, with a list of titles that I've loved to pieces & only a few major disappointments (step forward Mario Kart - although it's not as bad as some say)
No complex reasoning, in fact, it's all very simple - It's the console I've had the most fun with.
