Car Boot Booty !

I got a Pal Snes with 6 games and 2 pads for ?10 yesterday at a car boot sale.
I kept the ninty pad and the 6 games and traded the Snes into Game and got ?10 for it ,which I then got a load of MD games (Streets of Rage 3) they had for sale for ?2.97 each!

I need to find a decent Car Boot Sale

There's one every Sunday, about 2 minutes from my house. I've been twice now, and there's been no console bargains or retro games at all ft: Last week I saw a 2nd hand mega drive. I asked how much and he said ?30. Then he added 'it's a bargain, they're still selling for ?280' I wanted to punch him ft:


So, basically, are there any good boot sales in the North West area? I live just outside Wigan, so I'm looking around there somewhere. Apparently there's a good one in Bolton so I'll try there next week

Sadly car booting has gone severley down hill in Chesterfield where i frequent, over the years i have found such gems as Snatcher on the Mega CD for a quid and Panzer Dragoon Sega mint for seven pounds.
All i see now are ps1's by the hatfull and bloody Amigas, i never see anything Snes or saturn wise, i do find the odd Dreamcast game but thats about your lot.
A couple of years ago i used to pick up countless Snes and Saturn games every week including the likes of Secret of Mana and Shadowrun but now rocking horse poo springs to mind
Even megadrives are starting to become rare, i am always hoping to come across a Neo Geo cd or 3DO but it never happens.
All i got today was a mint copy of Headhunter on the DC for a fiver and a couple of Doctor Who video's

I admit I was being a bit overly hopeful expecting the tiny boot sale I went to (maybe 25 stalls) to have a Saturn or Neo Geo collection

all i ever see is n64's for ?20 and dreamcasts for ?30 with no games and a tatty box ft:

but i've found it to be more along the lines of:
unboxed megadrive & 6 games, 2 contollers- ?10
unboxed snes, 6 games, 2 controllers - ?15
unboxed amiga 1200, 150 (pirate) games, all the gear- ?5-10
unboxed n64, 15 games ?20ish
these are all decent deals of the type i come across pretty regularly at car booters, but nothing to pish myself about.

ps1's are usually ?20/25+
DC's are usually ?30+
that's rubbish.

although the (tiny) car booter, nearest to me had a suspect box of GC, PS2 & XBOX games (a few copies copies of each game, still sealed, all top titles). I asked the skinhead guy "how much are these?" ?10 each. "wow, pity i've got most of the good ones" i say. "aw, do you collect them? 3 for ?20 then, goan, take 3!" stolen? blatantly.
I never bought any, of course not.

i picked up a panasonic 3do super cheep today with a few boxed games a pad and gun, i know ther **** but i wanted it to add to my collection of systems and it only cost a tenner

it weighs a bloody ton though i think whoever designed the xbox ripped of the design from this big black brick

Don`t be so harsh on the 3DO. It was a nice machine with some cool games.

When I got home and opened the box, it had Goldeneye instructions and Fighter's Destiny cart.
