I went to the Burseldon Car Boot Sale on Sunday, actually. Got Mario + Luigi Superstar whatsit on GBA for ?6 complete, plus a whole load of Amiga games for a quid (about 50 originals disc only, and 100+ copies). Also got a World of Sport 1983 Big Daddy Annual. "Eeeeasy! Eaaaasy! Eeeasy! A-yooooou-shut-uuuup!!" - 50p. Best of Merle Haggard as well, a quid. Can't beat the booty.

Same here. I read the posts on here enviously because the best thing I could get from any of the local car boots is any PS2 or Xbox game for ?2. Besides the fact that I don't know why someone would be moronic enough to pay for pirated games, I just want to smack the spongers who sell them.

The markets near me sometimes have some good stuff going, found Minish Cap in good condition for ?5 and a dance mat for ?1, also found FFV1 (PS1) for ?1 and CV:SOTN for ?5 in recent months, there is always megadrives and snes's down there but they have the ****est of the **** games with them.

My local booty has been somewhat dry as far as games are concerned over the last month.

Went to 2 over the weekend.

Saturday picked up a sega saturn without any cables or pads for 50p

Sunday got another sega saturn boxed with all cables, 1 pad instructions and 3 games for ?4

A guy at work was at the same boot fair on saturday but he was there at 6.30 am and he got a boxed xbox with 4 pads, 7 games and a dvd remote for ?20. The seller wanted ?30 for it but my mate offered to toss a coin and if the seller won my mate would pay him ?40 and if my mate won he'd get it for ?20. The seller agreed, lost the toss and reluctantly sold it for ?20.

Opened the bag to find a N64 with boxed Goldeneye (an inst), 2 pads and all leads a SNEs with all leads, boxed and complete Earthworm Jim and Secret of Mana (with the map and in a great box)! Amazing that mother of mine - she lives miles away from me but is well trained - Jap Megadrive ?2, Boxed Pal MD1 ?5, SNES console ?2, Chipped PS1 and normal PS1 ?5......amazing old girl!

i brought rise of the triad the dark war - ?2 on pc cd rom, real hard to find now and i got an unboxed n64 with 2 unboxed controllers, and 2 games (mario 64 and diddy cong racing.) all for ?8

The first bit sounds pure bollocks nearley had me there till people start turning up real rare L@@k MINT games in suposed bags of crap especialy in these days of ebay.

but old ps1 are easy to find in the five to ten quid bracket but 2 quid for 2 thats pure bull crap.

best ive ever done is an unboxed snes for four quid but most greedy sods want 15+ for anything vidoe game related.

worst one ive seen is a uk mega drive that has had the cart slot hacked open and with nothing more rare than a few copys of pga tour, zool, and a loose copy of fifa "30 quid to you mate" my reply "fakkkkkkkkkkkk offff your haveing a laugh"

My local one starts this Sunday, theres loads of cars but last year all I saw was a Game.com for ?5 and numerous loose MD and Snes's for ?10+ and all your usual Fifa's for ?10 a pop. Utter ****e but still every summer I go down to it and leave dissapointed , did pick up a speccy with about 100 games and stuff for ?5 about 8 years ago though, it was fun lugging that home

just got back from the boot the threat of bad weather must of put people off as it was ****e pickings today.

passed up an unboxed psone ?15 nothanks, unboxed spectrum with a few dirty looking tapes ?20, and the cheekyest thing ive seen in a long time this guy who obviusley got hold of a shrink wrap machine trying to sell old master system and super nintendo games as new sealed games, tellling everyone who cared to listen how much sealed retro games are worth thankfully no one had a clue what he was on about and nobody was buying his over priced dirty wares, the place seemed to be full of some of the scumiest looking people ive seen in a long time too so my tip would be dont bother with bingley car boot its ****e.

on the plus side i did get a boxed gundam snap together figure for a quid, and a dreamcast for a fiver will build the figure later i think and play some crazy taxi now
