The beautiful games

I think Beyond Good and Evil is one of the most artistically beautiful games I have ever played. The nightime setting on the lighthouse, with the piano music playing in the background.... beautiful.

Plus, the music and looks of the two-storey bar. Anyone remember? ..... Propaganda, Propaganda.

What a wonderful game. (Sigh).

Actually, Im off to play it again for an hour.

Just been playing PGR 2 through VGA on Xbox Live with a mate, on the Xbox 360. It stilll looks very good. We were driving round commenting how well it's aged, and a testament to how powerful the original Xbox was.

I would say PGR1 looks better, particularly playing it now upscaled on the 360. It looks not a world away from a 360 game, and this was a launch title. PGR2 doesn't look as realistic (the photomodelling looks more basic), cars are less shiny, generally not as gob smacking as PGR1 (which is 60fps, but lets not have that debate).

Yeah I remember PGR 1 looking brill, it was so smooth and I loved the body roll physics in the Nissan Skyline! Not had chance to try that on Xbox 360 yet, but that was one of my favourite PGR's.

I've just been playing this game on the Dreamcast, using a VGA cable on my HDTV.

It. Looked. Stunning!
