Halo and Halo 2 to be 'improved' for the 360?

I'm guessing Xbox Live will update the games if you possess a system with a harddrive. That's one possible way.
Bungie could have left Halo 2's engine updatable through Xbox Live for a future time when they knew the 360 was going to come. If you read Bungie's update, it does suggest the games will look different.

Come on Bungie.
I reckon what we'll get is, (for halo 2) the level of detail and pop up issue to be fixed (as that was always a problem with the actual hardware not being able to read data fast enough), some AA, 720 P.
Apparantly they've been working on the halo 2 emulation for 6 months, so you know.

Bungie's update said both games will look better, so that's what I'm banking on too. They failed to mention changes to the gameplay, and I'd imagine they'd be busy on Halo 3 to properly implement co-op in Halo 2.
I'd love to be proved wrong though.
Halo 2 would really benefit from an extra (stable) layer of polish though. The LoD /cutscene pop-up changes made the game look uncharacteristically rough (in places) compared to Halo.

I'm with you on Full AA though -much more likely than adding any new content. I think it will be like those smoothing filters you get on MAME. Coupled with prog scan, Both games could look very good.
I'd also like them fixing the widescreen mode in H2. The fact that the HUD and cross hair is stretched (with the game properly in 16:9) really bugs me. So much so that I play in 4:3.

My take on that was it was an aim and was taken out at the last minute but the menu layout remained unchanged. Wouldn't be too much of a stretch for them to put it back in if time was the only factor.

Honestly that Frankie guy who writes the weekly updates is a **** talking fool. I read the updates every week for over a year and he truely talks nonsence "You can fit all of Halo into one of Halo 2' s level" i think he once said.
The different will probably be that the 360 has a much better Video Output. Full Stop.
