bleach is a 3d fighter - and it doesnt look half bad on the PSP

There is a sequel already out called bleach 2 - surprisingly

      Train simulator is tremendous

All of the 4 games I own are excellent:

        1. Ridge Racers- my favourite racer of the year, and the one I spent the most time with. Sliding around corners was never this much fun
        2. Virtua Tennis- a few bugs littered about, but a solid game, and a decent port of the excellent console versions.
        3. Lumines- great game, showing the PSP can do innovative as well as ports. superb soundtrack too.
        4. Burnout Legends- not really the same standard as the console versions but still a decent enough racer and second best one on the PSP.

GTA and PES5 should be good too.

Vampire Chronicle (shame about the pap buttons)

          Mercury
Wipeout Pure (shame about the torturing D-pad)

            1. Shutokou Battle: Zone of Control - a game I actually finished on the PSP
            2. Burnout Legends - Fun Racer
            3. Virtua Tennis - Decent enough game even though I can't do all the mini-games
            4. Lumines - Nice "filler" game when you have some spare minutes
            5. Mobile Train Simulator + Densha De Go - Bit of a chill out game (other than having to stop the train in the right place). Another "filler" game for a spare 15 minutes or so.

              In no particular order:

Lumines - Not since GB Tetris have I been so addicted to a puzzle game...roll on the sequel (oh and Every Extend!).

Wipeout Pure - As it stands, straight from the shelf, this game is top notch and a return to form for the Wipeout series. Throw in the free downloadable content and you have a game that just keeps on giving

Ridge Racers - Best Ridge Racer game to date...by far.

SSX On Tour - I've always had a soft spot for the SSX series and having a respectable handheld version is great. One of the most visually impressive games on the system too.

Star Soldier and Guilty Gear Reloaded XX are fighting for the last spot. Best shooter and fighter on the system respectively.

              *EDIT*

Actually Bassman's post just reminded me Shutoko Battle: Zone of Control takes the last spot (totally forgot about it).

Wipeout Pure stands head and shoulders above everything else.

                Then it's:

                Ridge Racers
                Lumines
                Virtua Tennis
                Mercury

Liberty City Stories will probably fit in there somewhere when I get to play it.

I would probably go along with most of what has been said on this thread. INPO (of course):

Lumines - I agree with you, MonkeyWrench - it's up there with GB Tetris as one of the all-time great puzzlers, with a storming soundtrack.

Ridge Racers - Best RR game to date? Agreed - without a doubt. And STILL the best PSP racer imo. Another fantastic Namco soundtrack too - excellent remixes of classic Ridge beats.

Virtua Tennis: World Tour - Sumo Digital know that they could have done a much better job of converting this to the PSP, but it's still hard to beat for some thumping Tennis action - nice one, MonkeyWrench!!

Wipeout Pure - An all-round quality package from start to finish. That said, I had a copy of the US version and sold it for quick cash - a decision that I'm now starting to regret.

Star Soldier - I've heard great, great things about this title and I'm eagerly looking forward to purchasing this soon.

I'm also looking forward to getting my hands on the likes of GTA: Liberty City Stories (obviously), Extreme Ghouls 'n' Ghosts & Street Fighter Zero 3 Double Upper. I'm waiting for WE9 UE to come out over here as PE5psp to see what it is really like as there seems to have been much mixed reaction to it.

All in all, not a brilliant line-up admittedly but not nearly as bad as others would have you believe - more games please, Sony!!

As much I want to love Metal Gear Ac!d (and I had high hopes for it), the Tactical Espionage Action universe simply doesn't work within the confines of a Trading Card Game - why didn't Kojima-san just make it a turn-based 'Tactics' game?

                    Lumines
                    Ridge Racers
                    Wipeout Pure
                    Hot Shots Golf
                    Mcrae

To be honest so many of them are kinda 8x% titles it's hard to pick a top 5 - I've said Mcrae but I've enjoyed TOCA/SNOOKER/MERCURY just as much. None are outstanding - just solid.

My favourites ( in no particular order)

Metal Gear Acid - Obviously 'gaming marmite' but i fell for it and i love it so far.

Tony Hawks - It might be because i havn't played a TH game for a while, but im really into this

Burnout Legends - Amazing achievement - this dawned on me as i was playing (the excellent) pursuit mode on the bog!

Ridge Racer - Outstanding Launch game - the first game I (and many others) saw running on my PSP. ( I think this may be why it has a special place in so many people's hearts)

Everybody's Golf - Never liked golf games - love this one - 'nuff said!

                            Cant wait till GTA though!!!

                              In no order:

Ridge Racer - I've nothing to add over what has been said.

Everybodys Golf - To the poster who said he was surprised that there was so much love for a golf game, I'd said go play this. It is wonderful.

                              Lumines - Great puzzler

Star Soldier - Just got this, but I can see myself really loving this.

World Snooker 2005 - Ok, so it won't top many people's list, but my fiancee and I play this two player more ofter than we've played any other game. It has a great balance of aim assist and skill and the psp is really suited to this type of game as you can tilt the screen around to help you line up shots.

PSP certainly does need more good titles to become available, fortunately for me however, my prefered genre (rpg) is getting much love over the next 2 months so I'm happy

Here's my top lot (in no particular order)

                                1. Medievil: Resurrection - A solid, amusing and highly entertaining platformer/adventure game. Unfortunately the game has been highly underrated by many a publication and website so many people will miss this gem - just wish it was a bit longer.

                                2. Metal Gear Ac!d - Stealth meets card based rpg. Gotta collect em all!

                                3. GTA: Liberty City Stories - Perhaps the system's biggest title. A 3d GTA title on a portable is a massive achievement despite falling short of the console games. Plot is keeping me hooked so far and its replayability will keep me coming back to it after I'm done with the main storyline.

                                4. X-Men Legends 2. - Comicbook action with rpg elements. Single player is big enough and vast amounts of characters will keep it fresh.

                                5. Wipeout: Pure - Addictive racer, plenty to unlock + download.
