360 and the composite input Sharp 4:3 SDTV in my games room would, as we say on the net, equal teh suck, I'm mostly a Sony head so I'm waiting on affordable 1080p TVs, so.... Nah!

I'll get a Revolution as soon as it's out. 480p, no problem!

300,000 for the whole of Europe. Very poor.

You can guarantee over 90% of those will be filled with pre-orders, leaving less than 30,000 for shelf floors across Europe. No chance of getting one.

What's getting to me is hearing of all these 360's getting wrapped up for christmas by peoples wives

300,000 is very poor for a christmas time release

I feel sorry for the rest of Europe. You know a huge chunk of that 300,000 will be going to the UK (wouldn't surprise me if it was between 80-100,000 units). Even so, it's still an exceptionally small amount, and makes Microsoft's hopes of selling 2.5-3 million units in three months fairly ridiculous as the situation stands now.

It also means those of us who haven't pre-ordered are probably looking at somewhere in the region of there being less than 10,000 units on the shelves for a first come, first served basis in the UK. Most of those will probably be situated in the likes of London and be Core packs anyway.

Just another sign that... no, what's the point of saying it again?

360's in cornwall

anyone trying to get a 360 in cornwall had any luck?

Been pretty naive and thought i'll just pop in somewhere on friday morning and pick one up!

Just been to asda in Falmouth and the guy behind the counter was pretting savvy about what was going on and showed me the printouts they were given about allocation, 1000 uk wide for 280 asda stores. Only six units will be delivered to asda in st austell and none to falmouth!

Our hmv in truro only has 10 units allocated and the local independent has been givien zero. Local choices store told me to come back next year as they already had hundreds of preorders.

Got a pretty bad sinking feeling at the mo.

I won't be getting one, at least not for several months as I just can't get excited about the machine.

My m8 asked at the Newbury GAME and was told if he pre ordered one there and then he could expect his console as early as March/April. So it don't look like they'll be too easy to get hold of for at least several months anyway :P
